Ace Frehley can't get a passport - Eddie Trunk show

The one that started it all. Spreading gossip and insults since 1998.

Ace Frehley can't get a passport - Eddie Trunk show

Post by gtrjay »

Listened to the show today (free weekly podcast on Thursdays, I won't pay to listen to him) and said while chatting with Lita Ford that she was a replacement act in the Cancun show (sands) because Ace couldn't get a passport.
Now, it could be that he doesn't want to tour outside the US anymore at his age. Or he lost the proper paperwork to renew. Or a paperwork delay on the govt side. However, if I had to bet on who is more organized and better at telling the truth, I am going with the State Dept of the U.S. Govt over Ace Frehley.

There are only a few reasons why you can't get a passport:

Unpaid Federal Taxes
Unpaid Child Support greater than $2,500
Outstanding warrants
Probation/Parole
Convicted of sex or drug trafficking

Before this, has Ace toured outside the U.S. in recent years?

I think its been reported over last year or so that its hundreds of thousands in unpaid taxes.
He got on MORC cause its an "open ended cruise" where you dont "need" a passport.
He has wanted to/talked about going overseas to tour but who watches his money??
For the Sands show, they have known for 6 months Ace wasnt showing (his band said as much at shows) but the promoter kept him on the bill till days before.

damn, promoter keep him on to possibly move more tickets?

You're right, I do remember him talking about unpaid taxes.

The local morning show here in Detroit (Drew & Mike) has had a podcast for over 10 years now 4-5 days a week. (RIP Mike).
They had Ace on and have talked about him a lot and they talked about unpaid taxes.
Doesn't Ace feel taxes are communism or something too? One of those self-righteous guys who is always yelling about the Fed?

This doesn't seem like bad management. This seems like a choice.

Maybe Trump will pardon him.

Not after Australia and Japan in September 2018. So he can't blame the pandemic either, it came in Spring 2020, 1,5 years after his last Japan show.

Ace must have no intention to pay this as he receives pretty decent pay & plays live a lot. Is he at a place where he is getting his pay dedudcted by Govt, making payments or just thinking he's mid 70s & F it, Im not doing it.

As long as I'm learning something, I figure I'm OK - it's a decent day.

Sounds like choice to me too, Ace has never been a fan of Canada but I hope it doesn’t float away before he gets to visit the friendliest country in the universe.
