Tame Impala
Ever heard of them? First time I’ve heard them is today. Sounds like 80’s Brit pop. Or something close.
Will probably play WASP next.

Re: Pale Impala
I find them really boring, but at least I know their actual name and that they sound nothing like Brit pop.

Re: Pale Impala
I feel old writing this, but they were playing at the arena at the Mohegan Sun casino.
I took my kid and her friend to the show, but just drove and waited out in the casino for them.
I couldn't even remember the band name until I read the title of your thread.

Their song 'Elephant' sounds exactly like John Lennon singing over vintage Sabbath. That drew me in. Not everything they do is in my wheelhouse, but what I like I REALLY like.

I like what I’ve heard. Lots of layers. Hallucinogens definitely help.

Re: Tame Impala
They were pretty big on alternative rock radio like 10 years ago - back in the day of Cage The Elephant, Fitz and the Tantrums, Royal Blood, Lorde, The Lumineers, Portugal The Man, Alt J, and so on.
Re: Tame Impala
Love Tame Impala. In fact coincidentally they were on my playlist when I saw this thread. The last couple of records are very 80s/synthy and dancey but in a unique way. Great production. Eclectic. Huge fan.
