I remember being 10 when "Up All Night" came out and just the idea of staying up all night and sleeping all day was very appealing to me. Watch Jason movies, eat pizza, drink Pepsi, etc.

At age 45 that sounds like torture. Please amend the lyrics, Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum, to "Up 'til 9:30, sleep 'til 6:15."

I was a member of the VVI fan club, and I never for one second liked Slaughter.

I own all slaughter albums including the live album, live EP and “Best of” album.

I also got the deluxe box sets for Wild Life and Fear No Evil.

I have no regrets

One of Vegas' own! Slaughter 2022 on Fremont Street with Vixen and Sweet was a good time, minus Vixen and Sweet.

Stick It to Ya is a late-period hair metal classic. The Wild Life not as much, but still very good.

Did you end up getting the vinyl of their first album? I remember you doing a poll and saying 35 stryper fans can't be wrong!

Took me a while to get into the first album. Mark Slaughter’s voice is an acquired taste.

Not really. I really tried, owned three of their albums at various times but no. They're a VVI without the songwriting talent. About 2 good songs per album and the rest is just bland and same sounding, what an AI version of a 1990s hair band may sound like.

I'll spin Stick it to Ya about once a year.

Great band name, they should have toured with Slayer.

I did, I got the gold "audiophile" version but sent back at least one copy for being off-center.

The records are in storage right now but I'm pretty sure I got an okay copy in there.

I should go get them, just in case I die and somebody goes through my stuff and finds a gold vinyl pressing of Stick it to Ya.

Wow, I have never heard that song before. I actually like it. If Mark had sung with that voice more often back in the day he might actually have a voice today.

Their best song "Reach for the Sky" is on "The Wild Life". The rest of it more or less blows.
I had the album for a while and can't remember any other song except for the title track even when I read the titles.

Only if they agreed to play the entire Strappado album.

The songwriting for Slaughter is way above VVI. VVI was whack as hell and is only awesome because Vinnie plays every note 12 times in a row and hearing Mark that young rules.

Slaughter were heads and tails above VVI. Hell, so was Nelson for that matter.

Tod Howarth and the Frehley’s Comet were like Zeppelin compared to Vin’s Vagina Monologues

Outta My Head is underappreciated. Should've been a hit for them but was about 5 years too late.

Stick it to Ya is a fun, solid album start to finish. One of the better albums of the hairband era.

Massive drop off with the sophomore album.
