Yeah the MAGAtards getting upset doesn't change anything. Back to reality, Biden was up 2 in the latest Reuters poll.alleyrulez wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2024 8:49 amthe MAGA people were going to vote for Trump, regardless. it's a cult.
obviously Democrats aren't going to vote for him, and I can't see the fact that he's a felon being a huge selling point for independents.

Back to reality will be when Trumps name, or anyone in his MAGA orbit, isn't on the ballot. Otherwise the cult will always say it's been rigged. And with Don Jr and fuckface and his wife that won't be anytime soon.

CNN Senior Legal Analyst Describes How The Trump Conviction Was A Political Hit Job (Yes, CNN)
1. "The judge donated money... in plain violation of a rule prohibiting New York judges from making political donations—to a pro-Biden, anti-Trump political operation."
2. Alvin Bragg boasted on the campaign trail in an overwhelmingly Democrat county, “It is a fact that I have sued Trump over 100 times.”
3. "Most importantly, the DA’s charges against Trump push the outer boundaries of the law and due process."
4. "The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever."
5. The DA inflated misdemeanors past the statute of limitations and "electroshocked them back to life" by alleging the falsification of business records was committed 'with intent to commit another crime.'
6. "Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up — until right before closing arguments. So much for the constitutional obligation to provide notice to the defendant of the accusations against him in advance of trial."
7. "In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else."
8. "The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the “Zombie Case” because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator."

It's amazing that these rally numbers are still a talking point when he's lost the popular vote twice now.
Also, it's a cult. Those are all wackos.
Nobody shows up to Biden's rallies because normal people don't give a shit about rallies.
You know who loves rallies? Nazis.

Re: What %chance do you think Trump will get jail time?
I honestly thought the trial would have no impact on his numbers but it looks like independents aren't too stoked about the 34 felony convictions.
The thing about not being in the Trump Cult is that sensible people who live in reality know that "rigging" a trial of that magnitude is impossible. It's fantasy world shit--sore loser shit.
Independents know he's a criminal, it's now a matter of whether or not that's a dealbreaker. It's looking like it is.
But it's also June. The sentencing is in July. Provided he's not in Club Fed, this could just be another forgotten Trump circus by November.

Re: What %chance do you think Trump will get jail time?
Whoops. Triple posting. Trump Derangement Syndrome! Bawk!
But here's some questions for the MAGAts:
Let's say the trial was rigged. What do you think the implications are there? Do you think the justice system ONLY rigged Trump's trial? No one else's?
Okay, so we'll nullify Trump's 34 convictions. That would be the just thing to do; the whole system is corrupt.
Now how far do you want to go back? To 2021, when Biden was sworn in? To the Obama years? Clinton?
There are a lot of convictions we need to overturn now, not just Trump's. Some innocent people sent up the river on bogus charges brought on by a corrupt shadow government.
And because we've just declared everything a mistrial, we unfortunately need to free a lot of criminals too. Pretty much anyone incarcerated after an agreed-upon starting point--when (((they))) took over.
If this is TRULY about justice, that is what you're demanding.
Just say you want to give Trump a pass. I mean, be for fucking real.

Re: What %chance do you think Trump will get jail time?
The MAGAs never really wanted justice. They just want Trump to help them win their stupid little culture war they’ve been waging since Obama and give them absolute control over the rest of us, all because he pandered and grifted in order to convince them that he’s the guy to spread their message. So, no, nothing to do with actual justice.Chip Z'Hoy wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 9:51 pm Whoops. Triple posting. Trump Derangement Syndrome! Bawk!

It definitely looks like he's purposefully angling for prison time in an effort to touch off some kind of MAGA revolt. At this point he's embraced his role as a historic villain and I think he wants to go big and not go home. He wants blood to be shed in his name if at all possible. I think he was hoping for that on January 6th and it didn't quite pan out for him.
