Not enough good songs or CDs to be thumbs up
Warrant > The Cult
Winger > The Cult
Slaughter > The Cult
Cinderella > The Cult
Type O Negative > The Cult
Blackeyed Susan one cd > The Cult career
Warrant > The Cult

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

They're aright. Some decent stuff here and there. But I'm going to have to give them a thumbs down because of the OP

The Cult is better than all those bands combined besides maybe Cinderella

Their two best albums are Love and Electric, which makes them kinda like two bands as their sound changed completely.

That's correct. The Cult has three albums - Love, Electric and Sonic Temple - that kick the shit out of any release of those artists mentioned.TheCULTofMANSON wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:44 pmLAglamrocker wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:22 pm Not enough good songs or CDs to be thumbs up

Thumbs up. I did see The Cult live and wasn’t blown away. I do like their first four.LAglamrocker wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:22 pm Not enough good songs or CDs to be thumbs up

I would say
The Cult > Warrant though I liked Warrant better
Winger > The Cult
The Cult > Slaughter though I’m probably a bigger Slaughter fan
Cinderella > The Cult
Let’s not discuss the absurdity and ridiculousness of the last two.
The Cult takes a piss on both

If they had released a proper follow up to Sonic Temple, could they have thrived in the 90’s and beyond? Ceremony was a huge drop in quality. Then it got worse.

Don't think so, to the public they were as much 80s MTV rockers as Leppard or Poison. Maybe if they scored a ballad hit like Scorpions or Aerosmith.DemonFilth2001 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2025 10:27 am If they had released a proper follow up to Sonic Temple, could they have thrived in the 90’s and beyond?

I like the Cult, but why do they give off such bad vibes?
Total Package

I would add Sonic Temple to the list, and that one sounds different alsoDyslexicheart wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 10:52 pm Their two best albums are Love and Electric, which makes them kinda like two bands as their sound changed completely.

Re: The Cult as a band….thumbs up or thumbs down?!
Why bad vibes?
The Cult has less talent than Southgang debut cd
The world can see this
The Cult overall is solid 6 in music and fun. Setlist FM really helps this band..if not enough cool songs don’t go
I always enjoyed hearing Sunking- Fire Woman in strip clubs when strip clubs played hard rock

Had Sonic Temple and the follow up. Didn't hate them, and liked the singles. Saw them live but only cause GnR were opening (and were incredible).
Can't put my finger on it, but something about them just didn't gel with me or my friends.
I'd give them a sideways thumb.
