Is it possible maybe communications between The Tower and the military helicopter could have been off? I don't know anything about how the military communicates with an airport tower but it seems that the helicopter was in an area they shouldn't have been in.

According to reports, the helicopter was notified to wait until the AA jet passed.

They were told to maintain visual seperation with the plane, which they did. Problem was, it was the wrong fucking plane. They were also flying at almost double their permitted flight ceiling of 200 feet. Stupid fucking cowboys flew straight into an active flight path and killed a bunch of little kids & their families

Didn't watch but saw another YouTube analysis by a female former Blackhawk pilot who often flew that airspace (retired Colonel IIRC). Her analysis was:

• Crew of three. In high-traffic airspaces 4 should be the minimum to have 360° line of sight.
  There was another jet in the line of sight. When the tower radioed about the jet, they weren't specific enough and the response was about a jet taking off. Not the one landing and in the accident.
  I think the third reason was the area, the lights, the river, etc. creates a lot of reflection and distraction.

A United Airlines flight from IAH to LaGuardia caught the moment a fire took place during takeoff. The FAA said in a statement, "The crew of United Airlines Flight 1382 safely aborted its takeoff from the George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport in Texas due to a reported engine issue around 8:35 a.m. local time on Sunday, Feb. 2. Passengers deplaned on the runway and were bused to the terminal. The Airbus A319 was flying to LaGuardia Airport in New York. The FAA will investigate. Contact the airline for additional information."

Video shared by FOX 26 showed flight attendants asking for passengers to stay in their seats. "No, it's on fire!" one of the passengers can be heard saying in the background.

Houston Fire said they did not have to put out a fire in connection to the incident. Posting on X, "HFD did not put out a fire on this incident."

United Airlines Statement:
"During takeoff, United flight 1382 received an indication about one engine and halted the takeoff while still on the runway. Passengers deplaned on the runway via a combination of slides and stairs and were bused to the terminal. There are no reported injuries at this time. We have lined up a

Pilots have been bitching about this very thing could very well happen. In simple terms. Both pilots are pretty much night blind. The bright lights make seeing other air craft damn near impossible. Air Traffic Control has been short on help for many years.

Simply put, its like when a on coming car has its bright lights on you cant see shit down the road. Its was just an accident waiting to happen in that area. Its no ones fault. To many aircraft in to small of a space with to many bright lights to make seeing anything visually almost impossible.

Why is it when bad shit happens every one wants to blame someone ? Bad shit happens to good people. The human race has given up on the thought of a heaven or a hell, or any bad things or good things happening after death. Then people wonder why when people get sick of living, they take people with them. Just face facts, as a human race we suck. The rich could give to shits less about the poor.
