The funny thing about Tamplin is that he can *sing* on a technical level and he seems like a solid teacher/coach. I saw a video of him on Instagram teaching the runs from Tennessee Whiskey - it was a good lesson and he sang it with ease.
Being a great teacher is something to be proud of. I have no clue what Brent Manning did as a singer/artist, but I know he taught a shitload of superstars how to sing. Isn't that more than enough?
From the few videos I have seen it does seem like he can sing, but can you imagine him on the video screens of your favorite venue doing that weird thing he does with his tongue for an entire 2 hour set?!?
I'm sorry, I tried. I really did. That video is too obnoxious for me.

I heard that he was offered a spot in many popular bands, including Motley when Vince left.
There's been at least 2-3 threads on here about all of this, from my recollection I don't remember any kind of independent confirmation or denial of his claims, just speculation.

2 minutes of the OP’s video and it’s easy to see Ken and his son are GRIFTERS. These 2 know enough that Journey’s camp doesn’t give a shit about such senseless claims, so why combat something that didn’t happen. Hundreds of men out there claiming to have had some sort of sniff at singing or performing in Journey. Funny how Ken has no receipts of any offer.
