No, we have mountain lions and bears running around right in the city. And, you know, they were here first.
The mountain lions generally run around in the dark, but they tend to try to run across the freeway, that's not good. A couple of them have been hit. I understand that they are building a bridge across the 405, where this happens most often.
The bears on the other hand, they have no qualms about showing up in the daylight and taking a dip in your pool.
Bears are smart as hell.
One bear showed up in a garage, opened the freezer and ate all the Costco meatballs. He came back the next year and did it again. Here in LA, we call this guy Meatball.
Another family wasn't so lucky. A bear got into their garage and ate the entire interior of their Ford Explorer. He was sitting in the drivers seat when the dude went to get in his car for work in the morning.
The pictures we see on the local news are crazy!
