Paul Stanley | Stories To Tell with Richard Marx Ep. 01
A new interview with Richard Marx and his guest Paul Stanley. Th opening question is great for any music interview with older musicians. “How do you replace the dopamine?” - The silence after retirement has to be a complete killer for guys at this level. Great question!

I would read an interview, but I just cant stand to look or listen to him. It's all gonna be run through a filter of what he thinks he should sound like and not the truth anyways.

I never had any negative feeling about Paul until I read his book. Usually an AUTO-biography is done to make the person look good, but in Paul’s case it was just the opposite. I can hardly stand to look at him or listen to him talk. The fact that he waited until last to do his book (I can only assume) to “set the record straight” makes it even worse. The lack of self-awareness is baffling.

What a self-absorbed jerk. Thought he was joking or being sarcastic, but no, he was serious.Wiseacre wrote: ↑Thu Feb 20, 2025 6:15 pm I never had any negative feeling about Paul until I read his book. As long as I'm learning something, I figure I'm OK - it's a decent day.

Never read another autobiography where the person makes himself so utterly unsympathetic and is so blissfully unaware of it...

Much better than Billy Corgan’s recent interview with Gene.
Gene was surprisingly annoying and did not answer the questions so Billy had to repeat more or less all questions.
Marx & Paul was quite good, though. I can’t put my finger on it but Richard Marx is a bit strange.

Are his dentures loose?
It sounds like his teeth are going to fall out of his mouth.
And as has been mentioned already. Paul (and this goes for the other Kiss characters as well) didn't make himself look any better in this book.
Peter confirmed what everyone else has said about him over the years and Ace is too stupid to have any regrets about any of the shitty shit he's pulled since the beginning
It's sad I used to think they were the shit when I was growing up and they are just schmucks. The one I thought was the biggest dick really is the least of 4 evils: Gene. And he's pretty crappy too

I liked Gene’s.
He’s an arse, and he’s well aware of the fact, never pretended any different.
I can cope with that.
