People will bitch about Richie being drunk or whatever, but I'd still rather see that 100 times out of 100 over whatever bullshit Jon has been trotting out for the last twenty years.

Whoa, awkward. Maybe they were chummy at rehearsal or a run-through, but a public fist-bump at the very least wouldn't be that hard, especially when you're practically making out with everyone else and not even looking at Phil who among other things is the nicest guy on that stage. (honorable mention to Matt who's a seriously good dude as well)

That was pretty cool

I remember seeing Richie do a club show in Australia in 1998 with maybe 150 people and it was a great night

Richie kinda kicked ass there if you ask me.

Phil's just a guy that joins bands after their prime and performs mop up duty.

People are saying Richie was drunk but I've certainly seen and heard worse (looks towards Ace Frehley, Vince Neil). It was awkward because it was obviously unrehearsed. He was also up there with his ex and the guy who has his job. And he still pulled off singing better than Jon can do today.

Ouch! Even I felt that one!

Phil X has no ego and is/was a session guy foremost. I don't think he gaf whether or not Richie was drunkenly riffing or what. He's no Steve Lukather, but he's a better guitarist than Richie and Orianthi combined.

He shouldn't have an ego.

The ex-gf I can understand, but I seriously doubt he wants that Bon Jovi gig anymore.

Didn't seem that awkward to me. I didn't expect him to pal around with Phil. Jon can't sing anymore. I bet Richie would do a tour if he could.
