There is more truth to this then most would believe.

When the US got Native Americans in the service as trackers they noticed a dramatic drop in their performance from when they recruited them. They went to the Native Elders and asked why they were told "it's the haircuts". Makes sense since hair does at least pick up things like wind direction.

But it goes deeper than that.

The first thing the enemy does to a slave is shave his head. It takes your mojo.

I get my hair cut once a year and get a 2 guard on the sides and back so I lose a pretty good mullet once a year. My scalp fucking burns for about a week losing all that hair and I literally feel less myself with all that hair gone. It sucks.

Before growing my hair out I would go every Friday at noon for a skin fade I had a cool cut.

Once Covid started the barbers were closed and I was able to live my dream of growing my hair out! 4 years later longer hair! I get it trimmed every 4-5 months

Nice. I got a bad bald spot. I'm 51. I cur it short. Once it gets to shaggy, I cut it. I imagine I am a few yrs away from doing what my dad does. Which is shave it down to a "2" every few weeks
