He and Steve were amazing when I saw them. (41 years ago)

Saw him a couple of years. 6 out of 10. So just above average.

Saw him back in the day... guessing it was 1984/85... and he killed!

Dez Dickerson of Prince's New Generation was the support act!

Fun Fact: At the Playboy Mansion, summer of 1999, I was there at a party, and Billy Idol offered me a joint, I declined!

Fun Fact #2: I saw Billy Idol broke down in a fancy sports car, corner of Burbank and Van Nuys next to a KFC, with the hood up. This was 1988 ish, I kept driving.

Is Billy Idol considered what us Sludgers would call hair metal? Doesn’t seem to fit in the Cinderalla/Dokken/Warrant crowd.

I wouldn’t call Billy Idol hair metal
Billy Idol / Nelson 2026 tour would be fun
Most believe Joan is hair metal- she played to packed stadiums before Poison came on
Kia Forum has hair metal booked Billy Idol/ Joan Jett(good for us )

*thunderdan didn’t buy a ticket to hair metal show- but if want to believe - that’s ok also.
Tears For Fears could ride the hair metal train just get Extreme to open
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

As far as fashion, the "80's" was for all about big hair & a "glam" look. This was especially true in music because of MTV. Regardless what style of music a band was, the band members most certainly had big hair & sparkly clothes. At least if you wanted to get on MTV, which they all did. With that said, many established "rock" bands got lumped into hair metal because of said look & a heavier guitar sound. KISS, Heart & Billy Idol are all examples of this.

I've seen him a couple of times in the last decade. Last time was 2023 in Atlanta. Great show. A little short, but he sounded great and was very entertaining. Band was excellent.

I'll probably check out this tour, but will wait to buy tickets. Based on how the Forum is selling I might be able to get my own section. This was a show that overestimated it's appeal (at least in the LA Market).

I was surprised booked 20k arenas for this show, though Billy idol has a strong opener in Joan Jett and they're a good match. Was not surprised as much doing sheds. Arenas obviously don't need 20k to make good money w/food and drinks. What can this tour do attendance wise?

I saw him a few years ago... and back in the 80s.

He's better now than he was back then.
