What's the most you've paid for a meet and greet with a musician or band? Did you like what you got out of it?

Never been to one either. I don't really understand the point of them other than a money grab for the band. It's not like I am going to say anything to them the probably haven't heard a million times.

And I always have the thought that if I meet them and they are an asshole, will that affect my enjoyment of their music.

I have had several opportunities to meet George Lynch, some free and always passed.

I was thinking if I go to another Revis show I will do the meet and greet this time. Basically, just to hopefully give them more if a financial reason to not break up again.

I did kind of do a meet and greet for nascar busch rookie of the year Glenn Allen jr. at an ASA race in Winchester. It was pretty cool. They had all the cars on the track and you could go up and talk to all the drivers in front of their cars. It was free. I actually had a website I made for pro drivers from Cincinnati so he knew who I was and he asked for my number to give me info for the site. He never called.

I could have met him again 23 years later. I saw his name on the list of employees at a Chevrolet dealer when I was buying a car. I asked if that was the same guy and they said yes and asked if I would like to meet him and they would call him down for me. I said no, that's ok..

When Anthrax played The Arcada on the For All Kings tour, they were doing a promotion where if you bought a copy of the CD, the record, or the 45 boxed set, you could get them to sign it after the show.

I already had the CD and the record, so I bought the boxed set. So, I guess, a hundred bucks or whatever it cost?

A buddy of mine flew in to see Glenn Hughes, and wanted to do it, so we did. Glenn was friendly, singed stuff, gave some merch and we watched soundcheck. The $100 was no biggie, what was a bit annoying for me, was having to go to the M&G at 5pm or so, and have to hang out till Glenn went on at 11.

I've only been to three:

Y&T: it was free after the show and they signed everything and talked to everyone. Pure class.

Queensryche (2X): once before a show and once after. It was pretty quick, but they were cool and amicable, talked, and signed stuff. They are all short. It was included in the fan club dues if they played your town, so probably like $20 or something.

It was quick and fast photo thing. It was cool but not much of meet and greet at all felt like a rip-off for those that paid..meet and greet always at Pacers after is always 10- meet tons hot chicks - some give the nude dance thing

Met all my Metal Edge hero’s on Sunset after or before shows.
Met all my WWE hero’s for free except paid 40$ to get photo with Hacksaw and Million Dollar Man

I never charge- 100% have been cool-talk a little and take the photo they want

Met NKOTB and my boss paid for the meet and greet and we also had front row seats, great experience! I think that was like $500 or $600. The annoying part about the meet and greets is when it's before the show and you have to get there at 5pm and wait 5 more hours to see your band play.
I just paid $50 for a Michael Ironside autograph and $40 for a picture with him. I called him the Canadian Jack Nicholson and he said "Fuck you." LOL! He was joking, super nice guy!

I bought my dad a meet and greet tickets for The Raspberries when they reunited for a few shows. He was thrilled as Eric Carmen was one of his favorites. Now that my dad is gone, I look at those photos and they bring me joy.

Totally worth it.

the only VIP experience I've ever paid for was for Clutch a couple years ago. It was $100 on top of the ticket ($35 and Helmet was the opener) and consisted of a three song soundcheck, a Q&A, a signed poster and early access to the merch booth. They haven't done a VIP thing before or since, and I'm guessing they were just trying to bring in a little extra money post covid. Not only were the songs they played at soundcheck not repeated at the show, they were deep cuts that I'd never heard them play live before and that was my 11th show. The poster was high quality and I've offers of as high as $200 for it. If they ever offered it again, I'd do it in a second.

I paid $500 each for me and my girlfriend at the time to meet Alice Cooper when they opened up for Motley on their "last" tour. Maybe 5-6 people did it and I was the last guy in line(he spent 2-3 minutes with each person)I walked up to him and extended my hand and said "it's an honor to meet you in person Mr Cooper for $500!" He kind of laughed and said to his handler "charge this guy another $500!" Was worth it, would I do it every time? Probably not but he's a legend to me so it was worth it although the girl ended up being a total cunt.

I've seen bands charge more than the ticket price for M&G...more often than not, it's just a picture and about 30 seconds of face time... no autographs or anything... and it doesn't include access to the show, it's just asinine.

The only meet-and-greet I've done was free. It wasn't officially a meet-and-greet but an autograph/photo session after The Knack played the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas (poolside) around 2005 or 6. Pat Torpey was drumming for them then. Fun show and all the guys were super laid back and sociable. Autographed picture, take pics if you want, and a little chit-chat.

First event I attended....food was catered, and was very good. Nothing crazy, but it was good and no one was hungry.

Second event.....I hit the local Sonic immediately after leaving.....as I wasn't interested in eating what was there.

I recently saw "The Baseball Project", which includes Mike Mills & Peter Buck of REM. After the show, for free, they m & g/signed whatever/took pics & essentially bs'ed with whoever and for however long they wanted. The guy I went with had a few REM things to sign. I sat there for damn near an hour, so yea, that hour is the most I've paid.

I met Vince Neil the afternoon after a Motley show. It was 1 or 2pm and he was at the bar wearing sunglasses, a bottle of champagne on ice and 2 hot blondes. That's why I don't make fun of Vince. The dude is the real thing. It was quiet, I walked up to him and we were talking like we were old friends. That was back in 2013 so before they "retired".

Paid $25 for the Sound of Madness Cd at the merch stand. Shinedown came out after the show and signed the cd for everyone who got one. No pictures but you got to shake their hand say a few words and walk away with a cd signed by all 4 members.

I don't really regret it, Cooper was actually really nice to everyone, the only thing that kind of sucked was we missed the beginning of Motley Crue as it was done maybe 10-15 minutes after Cooper got off stage.

I run all the Meet & Greets at the Fillmore here in Maryland and have always thought there’s no way I’d ever do it …. and now I’m doing my first one tomorrow in Vegas to meet Down. $100. They’re one of my faves and don’t tour much so fuck it. We’ll see how it goes ….

Back in '13 I violated my vow to never go down the paid M&G road for Saxon. It was only $50 and I further justified it in my head as being only $10 a guy...

No surprise, there wasn't a big turnout, but they were super cool and it was a chance to just hang out and chat. They also offered to take a pic with the whole band for anyone who wanted.
