"He Is" is one of the absolute BEST Ghost songs. Fucking amazing, and Tobias seems like a good dude.

Truly is. It's interesting how that song didn't garner as much attention as I thought it should have when MELIORA came out, but has grown in popularity over the years.

I know two huge Ghost fans, one is a guy in his 50's, the other is a guy in his early 30's whose entry into metal was Ghost. So I'm cool with Ghost, I'm just razzing Ghost Guy.

I like the BOC kind of melodies. The band is very talented. I think Tobias seems like a good and grounded guy. The lyrics are pretty juvenile but I don’t mind if the music is there. The lore and stuff is entertainment, but I don’t care for it. The masks do interfere with his vocals and enunciation. That bugs me. I’ve never seen them live but began watching the Rite Here, Rite Now movie and got bored. Anyone that calls the shows “rituals” is ghay. I know that it part of it, but it’s ghay.

At first glance the new Album Anti Pope/Papa/ Cardinal or whatever the hell he'll be called...is a veer away from the more commercial sound of the last couple albums. Impera started with a "Rush" song and a "ABBA" song, super commercial. The new single is a redirection to the "Hail Satan" schtick...c'mon it's called "Satanized", and it's meh...

And Tobias sacked Chris Catalyst over a picture, so fuck him.

Gotta agree with Ghostnerd here, the upcoming tour is playing huge arenas, they've reached festival headliner status.

I remember there was a buzz from the moment they came out. A big part of the underground immediately dismissed them, but you saw the shirts. It never clicked for me, all a bit too slight.
They learned a lot from 70's inspired bands like In Solitude and especially The Devil's Blood with the catchy choruses. The genius move was not taking everything too seriously, like the satanism.

As appears to be the case in the Rolling Stone video above, Papa V is a mask around his eyes with make-up underneath so that should no longer be a problem (albeit it was suprisingly only an occasional issue).

I always expected there would be a transition from masks to make-up and this is the first move towards that, it appears. Although I won't be 100% convinced until I see him talk/sing.

The weakest song on the last album was that twenties song. Getting a similar meh vibe. Not a promising start for the lead single.
