SKID ROW: SNAKE hints that he's not interested in reuniting with BACH

Post by Zabooka »

Bach was not specifically referenced, but I got a feeling he was hinting that he's not interested in Bach. But it could have been Tony Harnell or ZP.

-----------------------------------

Snake : "One of the things that we said at the very beginning was that if it's ever not fun, then either we'll stop doing it or we'll fix why it's not fun. And so when changes occur within the framework of the band, that's pretty much the reason why. I mean, there's been other instances — obviously, Erik's health; that was completely unavoidable due to his situation — but with a lot of the other situations, with certain people it wasn't fun and it became a miserable experience."

Apparently addressing constant calls for a SKID ROW reunion with the band's former singer Sebastian Bach, who sang on SKID ROW's most commercially successful releases, Snake added: "I'm not gonna go out there and do it and fake it for the blank check. I've never been about that. Rachel's never been about that, and Scotti's never been about that. So we're not gonna do it. And there's been a lot of people saying, 'Oh, just do it for the money.' It's, like, man. No. I'm just not built like that, man. And I'm smart enough — we all are smart enough to make sure that we've done okay with what we've made. And look, I don't live lavishly by any stretch of the imagination, but I could take care of my family. I don't worry about the future from a monetary standpoint. And so I'm really fortunate like that."

Hey Snake: The general public isn't interested either.

I’m much happier to go see Bach in Vegas-SD -Whisky shows forever..that could be 5xs a year or more

Skidrow 2025 should tour with that fake biker band BLS
FakeRow/BLS
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

How long have they been without a permanent singer now? Has it been a year since Erik stepped down?

I mean, it's a good thing that they're not interested in the money, because they're clearly not getting it, and being gone this long isn't exactly helping their demand when they come back.

They'd rather be busking on the streets for change than put up with Bach's shit.

Maybe if Bach weren't such a diva I'd be interested. He IS the classic SR voice, but we all know that doesn't matter if the other guys can't stand to be around him.

Too bad he doesn't HAVE that classic SR voice anymore...

And he hasn't in years.

Also no one gives a fugg anymore. At this point they are just a disgruntled nostaliga band without a singer.
They can't even make it out on tour and any singer that might agree to sing for them should be considered temporary, just like all of the others.

At some point in time it's no longer Bach that's the problem, it's them. Maybe he was the initial reason for the breakup, but a lot of years have passed and these guys are still carrying a grudge. At least try to be cordial to each other, as you never know when one of them will croak.

Axl Rose let Steven Adler play a couple songs on their reunion tour (supposedly more was planned but Steven got a back injury) but the “GANGS ALL HERE” can’t figure this out lol.
Way to go Snake. You guys could literally not have more than 20 minutes of interaction with Bach offstage and you still would rather kill/bury the brand with this bs. Wish I knew what their investment portfolios looks like

They had a decent 7-ish years with Bark (heh) and it ended. Even if they reunited and had NO interaction with him offstage, he'd still manage to make them miserable during the show. Stopping the show to yell at someone. Singing like shit. Embarrassing himself AND the band. Why would they do that to themselves?

You know, I actually really respect these guys. They clearly are not loaded with money (but can survive), and they certainly could have made more decent money with Bach, but they are on the few bands to stand on their principles and not cave in to work with someone as horrible as Bach just for the $$.

I can't think of many bands that have resisted good money when they (somewhat) needed it.

The Skids guys are clowns straight up. Revolving door of singers and missing out on potential income sitting parked for a calendar. Save me the argument of “oh the guy’s are cashed up” and don’t need the work. Snake, Rachel and Scotti are not the legends they are living in their own minds. Fan’s want to see this band play at a high level with the voice of all their hits. All of this endless postering and talking about the good old days of the band is a fucking joke. Time to end the band on a big run.

I think they should make it a law that if any interviewers ask those guys about Bach, they get one free punch.

Honestly, who gives a fuck what the fans want? They don't owe them anything. Anyone going to see Skid Row in 2025 or beyond knows Bach isn't the singer and they can choose to go or not go. And they won't be playing at a "high level" with Bach out front.

It has nothing to do with "integrity", it's about Bolan having a hard time with nobody (die hard or casual fans) giving a shit about "his band"(Skid Row) without Bach.

You'd be surprised. Trunk talks about this all the time, how even still to this day, people don't realize who's in what band, when it comes to casual fans.

I looked it up, it will officially be one year since Erik left the band TOMORROW (3/27). That's a long time to effectively go inactive for a band that had been touring pretty regularly before that.

You have to start wondering if they just decide to pack it in and go out on that last album.

Personally I think they should pack it in. They've had 4 full time singers AFTER Sebastian (plus Lzzy doing a fill-in). Erik was as good as they could hope for. It's just a laughable situation now.

It will always be funny to me how certain so many are here that the reunion will never happen.

Like, I get it, they don’t like each other and they’ve had the same responses in interviews for decades - he’d do it, they won’t, they hate him and would rather shit hot knives than ever have to be around him again.

So? Imagine that - rock bands that insist for decades that they’ll never get back together…sometimes still get back together!

I don’t predict either way, but the only surefire way it’s not gonna happen is if they get too old or one of them dies.

They're in their early 60s. This could easily happen at any time.

Skid Row hires their 17th singer, releases an album called "The Gang's All Here".

Said band records their first live album during that tour.

Singer flees sa(i)d band before the album is ever released!

Hey, at least they're catching up with L.A. Guns.

Technically, they recorded a live album/show with Tony Harnell and canned it when he left the band.
