Not what I was expecting, but good tune.
Kinda reminds me of Cryimg Over You by Platinum Blonde though, but more aggressive.

Great song and video!

I'm a fan; I have all the albums. I feel like I've heard it - lyrically and musically. There is a little Spillways in the chorus mixed with another song (maybe Cirice?).
I don't dislike it. It's catchy. It's just very familiar.

Yeah, agree with you. This feels very safe and predictable - "oh, this again". Nothing surprising or interesting about it to me.Hatchets Molly wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 3:57 am I'm a fan; I have all the albums. I feel like I've heard it - lyrically and musically. All downhill since Meliora - their songs, production, concerts and image all peaked with that album.

I'm okay with that. It's fun music, and I dig the fusion of genres Forge creates. I don't care about the lore, but I like spectacle if the music is also there.Whatever Happened To… wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 5:58 amYeah, agree with you. i think Ghost is killer. To be in a world full of rap, rap country and pop corn disposable music, they stand out. They are making Satan popular again..l.ol. I also noticed with each transformation, the image gets more darker...

The new songs are going to sound huge in an arena just like the last tour.
Ghost production sounds so clean in comparison to every other hard rock/metal band. Great sound engineer.

Meliora was indeed great...these last two singles, though, aren't all that...

Pretty solid, though the best song I've heard from Ghost over the past two albums is "Twenties".

Man, that was the weakest song on the last album.
New song is growing on me.

After listening another half-dozen times, I'm past the "heard it before" feeling and love it. I hope the album includes more 80s power choruses mixed with traditional Ghost metal.
Justin Hawkins reviewed the tune. I had never really considered the Scandinavian elements in the music before, but he is right in his comparisons. Of course, ABBA has been brought up often.

Spillways was the best ABBA song in the past 30 years.Hatchets Molly wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 2:26 pm
