just another band member who couldn't get along with the new jersey mafia
Re: Michael Schenker w/Erik Gronwell on vocals
Wow, that is a lot of tour dates!
Although, vocally speaking, this is probably a cake walk compared to that Slave to the Grind era stuff he had to sing night after night. A lot less top of the range screaming and held out vocal parts.
It’s probably like walking a marathon instead of running one.

Re: Michael Schenker w/Erik Gronwell on vocals
Okay, I was wondering about that, I thought I remembered reading someone else was doing the American dates, but couldn't remember who. Hell, these days, I'm not sure Erik could even get in the country to do the tour if wanted to.

“Health reasons” was simply Gronwall being sick to death of SR’s bullshit.

He's always been my favorite MSG vocalist. "Gimme Your Love", "Love Is Not a Game", "Anytime", and "This Is My Heart" are damn good hair tunes.Black Stuff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 8:43 amawesome and a real nice guy. Kept running into him on MORC this year.

WOW, that's quite an extensive schedule! I'm not particularly a UFO enthusiast, but because I'm a fan of Gronwall, I plan on catching at least one of the shows.jens wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 5:45 amLook at the schedule they've got lined up, Grönwall not willing and/or able to tour is horeshit:Black Stuff wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 4:58 amYou aren't kidding! Love Erik but never once got into UFO so not a Schenker fan solo
He has had over a year off since leaving Skids.....plenty of time to rest up.

I saw MacAuley sing for Schenker couple of years ago. The line up was 4/5 of MacAuley Schenker Group, yet they played none of their songs.dmbrocker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 5:16 pmHe's always been my favorite MSG vocalist. As much as I appreciate the talent, I definitely only believe half the shit he says when he trash talks his brother.

Not even Anytime. Schenker used the bullshit excuse that they didn't have time to practice those. I'm sure they knew those songs well anyhow. They had no problem playing Ufo and other Schenker songs.Anthrax442 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 5:23 amReally? Not even Anytime? Re: Michael Schenker w/Erik Gronwell on vocals
I thought he left because the 2 narcissist didnt want to do a restructured tour schedule. But yet they haven't toured in almost a year. Wouldn't 45 dates in 3 week chunks over the past 6 months have been better than 0? Better than having to find yet another vocalist that not only looks the part but can sing the material? And is affordable. And can write. And won't bail after 18 months.
Snake and Rachel make Sebastian look smart and reasonable.
I guarantee if you laid out a set of 10 rules for a reunion tour Bas would conform and hold true better than dumb and dumber would/could.
Everybody knows there is a nice pot of gold waiting on a reunion and I almost feel like they are refusing out of spite. They don't want to sell out their 'integrity'. It's self sabotage at this point.
Fun fact. I saw SR once..with Sollinger. He was the best part. The other guys were not essential/memorable at all.
Too bad he passed. I'd love to see a package tour of all former Skid Row singers with a house band. Just a nice middle finger to Rachel and Dave.
