Rachel Bolan responds to Tracii Guns about Skid Row Reunion
Blabbermouth had this:
During an appearance on the latest episode of "The Candid Mic With Fran Strine" podcast, SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan was asked to respond to L.A. GUNS guitarist Tracii Guns' recent comment that Bolan and his SKID ROW bandmates are leaving "millions of dollars on the table" by refusing to reunite with singer Sebastian Bach. Bolan said (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): "It's a bummer because I thought Tracii was a bud."
He continued: "[It's] really funny because everyone thinks that they're an accountant — they think they're an accountant, promoters. Everyone thinks that they know how much is coming in.
"We approached [a possible reunion with Sebastian] at one point [years ago], and obviously it imploded very quickly.
"There's not millions of dollars out there [being offered for a SKID ROW reunion with Sebastian]. I mean, as SKID ROW, we're making really good money [right now]. It wasn't much more [that we would have gotten by getting back together with Sebastian].
But, yeah, I saw [what Tracii said about that] and I'm just, like, 'Why doesn't Tracii just stay in his own yard?' You know what I mean? … It's funny hearing him — because other people shout out numbers too; they're, like, 'They can make this and that and the other thing.' It's, like, one, no — we can't. That's totally false. And two, quality of life, motherfuckers. You wanna be happy. You wanna be happy doing what you're doing. And I'm not here to talk shit about anybody. Everyone — there's that career and there's my career. Tracii has his own career. He should worry about that and not about SKID ROW."

Rachel may have money coming in, but hearing his words it’s obvious he’s not a happy individual.

I think that's just the result of being a curmudgeon-y aging rockstar, It happens to a lot of 'em. Then again, putting up with Bach and then having to endure reunion talk for decades on end could be part of it.ParaDime77 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 2:37 pm Rachel may have money coming in, but hearing his words it’s obvious he’s not a happy individual.

I don't go to work every day to be happy, I go there to make what i need to be happy. If someone told me that i could make (double, 10% more, 30% more, whatever) by going to happy hour with a bunch of tools after work, I'd have just one work for themCharles Bukaki wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 7:42 pmLet's assume you're right. Re: Rachel Bolan responds to Tracii Guns about Skid Row Reunion
It boggles the mind, that people don't "get it" when it comes to Skid Row and Sebastian Bach.
The guys in the band have all went on record to say, they don't want to do it, and talk about being happy, and content with their life/band.
When Bach was in the group, there was plenty of drama, or whatever, to cause them to fire him and stay away since. And just maybe... in watching from the sidelines, they too, like all of us, have seen Bach continue to act out, say things, do things, that all don't always align with what they find to be acceptable... even in the last 5-10 years... fair?
With that... ask yourself this... how many videos are on YouTube, or articles online that are Bach related sharing his angry moments, tirades, meltdowns, reporting on something that went wrong to the point it created a negative Headline about Bach, or him doing something that put himself in a negative light?
I just searched and found a bunch... most if not all of them, since he was out of Skid Row... many from the last 15-20 years, while he was in his 40s and 50s.
"Sebastian's Angry Moments Compilation", "Sebastian Bach Pissed-Off Compilation", or Bach having a meltdown on stage, in interviews, and other.
Now ask yourself this.... how many videos are on YouTube, or articles with similar content that you can find... but are about Tom Keifer or, Jeff Keith or Joe Elliott?
What about Steve Whiteman, Jizzy Pearl, Robert Mason, Todd LaTorre, Kip Winger, Cj Snare (RIP), Steven Tyler, David Coverdale, Jack Blades, The Nelson Twins, Phil Lewis, Mili from Steelheart, Jason McMaster, and many others... they all pretty much have literally ZERO videos or content, let's call it "baggage", that depicts them in bad-light, like the Bach stuff.
Even guys like Vince, and Pearcy have found themselves in a bad situation more than a few times, but seem to control their emotions, as to not lose their temper, and act out in a way that could be considered immature, or hateful... Bach has continued to demonstrate both of these qualities over and over.
With respect, was there drama with Jani Lane when he was alive? Yes. And the band replaced him. Was there drama with Jack Russell? Yes. The band replaced him.
Was there drama in BulletBoys with Marq? Yes. The entire band quit, came back, left again, only to reunite again, and in time they all left again. All of them.
You can also add Donnie Vie to the list, and a few others, who are their own worst enemy.
Do we see the pattern here? I think Scotti, Rachel and Dave do... and therefore have simply said; "Nah, we're all good."
The word toxic comes to mind... and it's been used to describe Bach on many occasions.... and the guys talking about "quality of life", etc.. is pretty telling.
In the end, I honestly feel like one day, they will reunite and do the big comeback tour... but... I also feel it's all in Bach's hands with his behavior.

IIRC this was more or less the conclusion drawn on here when Tracii's opinion was posted.LitaStrauss wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 2:18 pm We approached [a possible reunion with Sebastian] at one point [years ago], and obviously it imploded very quickly.

Maybe I'm getting soft, but I don't understand why these guys always have to add in things like the "Why doesn't Tracii stay in his yard?!?!" and long-winded explanation of the basic idea.
These guys know how the press is and how fans are. Not that this is something that's likely to turn into any real drama, but why not just a simple "I get Tracii's sentiment, but I'm pretty sure he's badly overestimating how much money there is on the table for a reunion with Bach. Next question."?

It wasn't a tour, just 4 shows I think. But they got paid huge money.
I don't think anyone knows for sure what they got paid, but the rumor was a million bucks each.
Not bad for 4 days work.

Re: Rachel Bolan responds to Tracii Guns about Skid Row Reunion
Tracii's comments were totally taken out of context, and even if they weren't, he's complimenting Skid Row and making them out to be bigger than they are. Either way, Rachel Bolan is a whiny bitch.
The problem is ... a reunited Skid Row would do good money, but not great money. There's a certain x-factor involved because they've been apart so long and there's a lot of publicized animosity. It's one of the few reunions out there that would generate talk and headlines. I still think it would do good business, but the promoter would have to split some money on name openers. Not L.A. Guns.
People forget, but girls loved Skid Row during the first album boom. Have no idea if they'd return to see today's version of Bach.
The sweet spot for pulling the trigger was years ago, no doubt. But I'm still amazed at what the concert business is able to draw and charge these days. I keep thinking it's about to cool off. I mean... we can't afford eggs, but hundreds to see a show is okay?

Now, he's neither of those things. And the fall from grace looks wise is even more pronounced than vocal wise. I think that would limit the reunion factor more than most reunions.

This insanity has been going on on sludge for 20 plus years.
Honestly, I don’t know why bother still clicking on these threads about reunited Skid Row. A lot of you still seem to think it’s 1991. It’s not nobody gives a crap about Skid Row in 2025. if they book a show right now with whatever singer at a club it’ll draw 500 people if they book a show with Sebastian at a club it’ll draw 502 people. Now, maybe they could get on some type of festival and get a bigger payday, but it’s just not worth it to these guys. I don’t blame him one bit.
If some sort of reunion happened, the whole thing would implode within a week.

Who gets back together with the ex? Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Slash and Duff, Van Halen, Journey, KISS, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Tracii and Phil just to name a few.
Sebastian had very good and likable qualities and had bad qualities about him. I still say Skid Row would have never been as good, as big or done the kind of business they did in the late 80s and early 90s without him. Matt Fallon didn’t cut it.
Also, the band is currently looking for their sixth singer. That says a lot. Sebastian clearly wasn’t the only problem in that band. Rob has publicly stated that he got into fist fights with Sebastian back in the day but he won’t come back unless Sebastian is there.

People forget, but girls loved Skid Row during the first album boom. Have no idea if they'd return to see today's version of Bach.

Now, he's neither of those things. And the fall from grace looks wise is even more pronounced than vocal wise. I think that would limit the reunion factor more than most reunions.
Just look at Motley Crue & Vince.
Never happen!

For a short stint(s) in time, if she was good in bed, sure. Ex sex can be fun, if volatile, which is exactly what any reunion tour would be with the Skids.Metal Judge wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 2:13 pm Who here gets back together with old girlfriends? Raise your hands. I'm waiting...
All this talk about a reunion has been going on for 20+ years. I used to wonder (still sometimes do) if publicists on both sides are in on it, playing both sides against the middle to see if it could really help generate enough of a groundswell for any significant offers to come in. Maybe some have that they passed up. Maybe they're still waiting on the big one they can't refuse. Or, maybe they really don't give a shit after all.
I still have a feeling they'll eventually do it, it will implode after a month, and they'll pull the plug. Then Rachel will say "See? I told you we wouldn't make any money!"

I listened to the whole interview. He's actually in good spirits when talking about other topics.
