No offence meant to you specifically, but all over the internet I’ve seen people going ‘told you!’ and ‘called it!’ in response to these details about the show’s structure, but I think it was blatantly obvious from the get go to almost everybody.

I wouldn't be shocked if it's 100% lip sync, and they don't tell him, so he thinks he's actually singing.

This I never understood. Not saying he didn’t have a guy behind the curtain doing stuff, but I saw Ozzy plenty of times in the 90s/00s, and his voice was audibly cracking all over the place and I never heard another layer underneath(?)

I'd agree with this. Dunno about the lowering down/raising up, seems a bit much. Could see maybe a trap door that raises him up to different spots, similar to what Metallica is doing with Lars on the M72 tour.

Yeah. It was just harmony vocals not lead vocals. There’s some clips on YouTube you can hear there’s another singer doing backing vocals. It’s not lead vocals. Check out I Just Want You, he sang along with the verse in harmony. And I Don’t Wanna Change the World, which Zakk used to do. I guess Joe Holmes didn’t sing?

I went and looked up a clip from Joe Holmes era, 6/28/97. I saw that Ozzfest the very next day in San Bernardino when I was 13. No mic stand up there for Joe but you hear things like “I can see it” in Flying High Again and stuff like that so it’s coming from somewhere!

I was told that he would be mixed in over Ozzy on the higher stuff he couldn’t hit anymore also.
