I don't expect anyone to watch much of the insufferable Billy Corgan attempt to "interview" NEIL and his nobody wife Patricia (posted below).
(and by "interview" I mean, of course, continually interrupt the interviewees with idiotic observations and turn everything back onto himself. He's a nauseating man/child.)
BUT, much to my incredible surprise, Neil comes off as mild, cool, non-controlling and normal -- and it's fucking Benatar who acts like an annoying, entitled twit.
Who knew? I'm becoming team Neil after this and hope he starts billing himself first.
(and it really does sound like he svengalied much of her career....)

I refuse to watch Corgan's vanity project, but I've seen Neil in a few other lengthy interviews/conversations. I'm not sure if he had a reputation for being egotistical, but maybe he mellowed with age. He was friendly, accommodating, and good to listen to.

No apology from me, I'm still disappointed that there was nothing in Al Capone's vault.

Yeah, I could barely make it through much of the interview because Corgan is intolerable (and I like some early Pumpkins music).Hatchets Molly wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 10:22 am I refuse to watch Corgan's vanity project, but I've seen Neil in a few other lengthy interviews/conversations. I really didn't know much about Neil's personality other than the ridiculous semi-recent changes to the billing of Pat Benatar shows and his eleventh-hour need to be listed as an equal contributor and participant in everything.
I assumed it was because he had a really brittle, insecure ego. Not that one interview definitely determines that, but he sure seemed like a normal-ish guy, especially compared to Billy and Pat.

And you're thinking of Spyder Rivera, btw.

That Spyder chick is luckiest girl in music history
How has she been singer of Pat Benatar Band so long?
Did Smashing BaldASS Pumpkins singer ask that question
I still don’t think that’s her voice on cd or live at Pat Benatar Band shows
Spyder picked horrible name for the band

Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Spyder is a legend. Who is Pat? Was he Spyder’s longtime guitar tech?
