Question for Rockers about guitar use

Post by Rocker4Real »

Here's a question for you Rockers who still play gigs. Do you use a different guitar on stage that you don't play at home? Some have plain workhorse guitars they use at the home studio and more fancy guitars for the stage. Maybe you started in the 90s when people played those plain battered guitars on stage.

When I was regularly gigging (and had a super nice guitar collection) I would play them out. Imo, that's point of a "new guitar", and I'm also of the mindset that stage wear gives a guitar "character".

Naw, that shit is gay. If I own it, I play it.

Mind you, I'm not one of those cork sniffers with a bunch of $5,000 guitars. I have about 10 in stage rotation right now and they go from $1500 on the high end to $50 on the low.

You're right. I should have said: "cork soaker".

You two can go soak each other's corks.
