just watched "Murder on the Orient Express". the 1974 version. It was pretty good. I had a few problems understanding the Overexaggerated accent of Hercule Poirot but it was good. 8 out of 10.

Just watched “Taxi Driver” for the first time. For its time, it was shocking, but pretty funny now watching peter boyle being tough and talking about “gay guys” giving each other head knowing he was later in young frankenstien” and everyone loves raymond.
Jody foster being 12 and playing a prostitute was rough to watch, especially undoing the guys belt ..should have gotten an older actress.. prolly what turned her out,, but for a classic, it was ok for the time

Peter Boyle had a big hit in 1970 with a movie called JOE, where he was a tough guy who said a lot of shit like that. It's kinda depressing now, because it was taken seriously by a certain percentage of the population and the character a hero, even though he was meant to be an unsympathetic fucktard.

It's also depressing because a lot of the shit he says still comes out of right-wing mouths now, 55 year later.

Superman (2025) 9/10.
Absolutely loved it. Not really sure how it could have been more fun. This movie walked absolutely no lines. It was 100% comic cook movie and went all in on fantastical shit. But as long as you’re willing to go with it, it’s a fucking great movie. Perfect casting, perfect tone. I’m a big Superman fan and Gunn nailed it.
