I would have loved to have seen the KISS and Depeche Mode shows.

I was 7 so life was good. Reading the Beano comic, playing with Lego, and watching Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.

Mister Freeze it was 35 years ago. I wish it was only 25 years ago!

I was 7 or 8 years old. Wilson Phillips. Vogue. Unskinny Bop. Bell Biv Devoe. Dick Tracy starring Warren Beatty and Madonna. That was about the time my brother and I finally got an NES to play the first three Super Mario Bros. games. Fun times.

I, too, was 7. My folks had just split. I was doing a lot of binge eating and playing a lot of Nintendo (Willow was the best Nintendo game, for all concerned). There was probably a lot of Steely Dan and Bonnie Raitt going on in the background depending on which parent I was with.

Saw the hot in the shade tour a few times. One was the infamous show in Toronto with Whitesnake. Crue / Tesla a few days later.

QR - Empire Tour

Can't remember if was 1990 but saw the Alanis / Mestro Fresh Wes and Vanilla Ice package...which was awesome

Probably a few others, but that's all that stands out

I was 12/13? simpler/nicer times, would go back in a heartbeat.

Saw the Hot In The Shade tour twice, w/Little Ceasar and Slaughter, and 2nd time with Winger and Slaughter.

Saw Aerosmith w'Skid Row (concert where fuckwit threw the glass bottle, hitting some random girl, not the ass who threw it in the 1st place).

Santana, Faith No More, and the Rolling Stones. All in Germany. 19 years old. Spent the summer working on a dairy farm near Dortmund as part of a language immersion program. Fun times.

Not to hijack, but don't remember a Sludger actually being there. Any interesting stories about the incident?

Saw that tour a few days later, and of course pre internet, we had no idea what had happened

From my seat (halfway up, in a side section), it was Sebastian yelling at somebody who threw something at him, then jumping in the crowd to "kick his ass". So at the time it was "cool/rock & roll", this imaginary asshole in the crowd is "getting what he deserves" for throwing a bottle at Sebastian. It wasn't until later, when you found out (on MTV, local news) that the only person who got seriously injured was a girl who had nothing to do with it, that put the incident into perspective. So unless you were on the floor in that section, you wouldn't have known what actually happened at the time. I don't think they even really stopped the show?, once Sebastian was back on stage.

Looks like summer of '90 I was out with L.A. Guns doing a run of club shows that were the last gigs of a year-long tour supporting Cocked and Loaded.

Looking at setlist.fm, I actually remember some of those shows. Doing a club run with a band that was pretty big was more fun than arenas, as you got to hang out with people all day and also after the show. (In arenas you are pretty isolated). It was good for chilling, drinking and fucking  just generally more of a party.

I was 23

That last part was. Great fun. Am still friends with some of the Quireboys. That tour was SUCH a fucking party.

First part of that tour (Cocked and Loaded) was the headlining run with Dangerous Toys and Tora Tora opening.

In October, after the tour was done and we were doing preproduction for Hollywood Vampires, I filled in for L.A. Guns on bass at Knott's Scary Farm for 3 songs on PBF's gear, as seen here:

It was a damned good year, but honestly so is this one.

Really cool man! Refreshing to hear someone praise their current state of affairs also… seems to be rare so kudos.

Do you mind me asking about your music career? From the board I guess I saw you were roadieing for Poison at one point and then tour managing, I guess? Again, really cool. Are you still in the live biz?

I saw Aerosmith that summer headlining a stadium with Metallica, Black Crowes and Warrant. Odd lineup.

Judas Priest (Painkiller tour) with Megadeth and Testament opening.

Testament with Savatage and Nuclear Assault opening.

Exodus / Suicidal Tendencies co-headlining with Pantera opening.

I was a guitar tech for Poison starting when I was 18 in 1985. I then went over to L.A. Guns until '92. Was on some of the biggest tours of the hair band era.

Stopped touring, started my own bands which did okay, but starting a music career in L.A. in 1992 after grunge hit was just kind of impossible. Nobody wanted L.A. bands. All of my friends who put bands together in the preceding years got signed, so I figured it was my time for that (I mean, if fucking Fasterpussy Cat could do it, I certainly could  ), but it just did not happen.

Kept playing. Been in a million bands at this point, some of whom have had records out (The Magnificent, The Brutalists, Killing Machine) but most of whom have not.

...decades pass, and now I travel a lot doing tribute bands that make good money (and some with Huey that don't). I also produce music and shoot videos for people and have my first documentary project coming up, which is kind of cool. Have adequate money, good car and hot girlfriend. I am pretty stoked on a daily basis.

Pretty good times and a busy year.

I got married, my band released our 2nd album, we did one-offs with Overkill, Trouble, Cro-Mags, Biohazard and we toured with DRI for their Trash Zone album.

I flew out to LA for the Concrete Foundations Forum and we signed to Metal Blade.

We also wrote and demoed our entire 3rd album with a new drummer which was recorded in Jan of '91 during the first Gulf War.
