Iron Maiden's first singer just died
Just read that Iron Maiden's first singer passed away. Paul Mario Day, who later briefly fronted The Sweet.

Ozzy, Hulk and Paul Day.

Paul actually sang on albums, just not with Maiden. NWOBHM bands Wildfire and More and later a version of The Sweet.

Just checked 'The Early Days' DVD. Paul Mario Day did all of 26 gigs with Maiden... Still, 26 more than me!
BTW, back when Blaze joined Maiden, the war a "joke"7rumor going around that his real first name was Paul, like Paul Di'Anno and Paul Bruce Dickinson.....
