I enjoyed Tobias' comments about the horrendous government we have in place right now.
You were probably too stupid to pick up on that though.

We have a pedophile racist rapist old senile president. Always worth repeating.
Was at MSG. Took my two girls (aged 13 and 9). Absolute blast. So much effort put into this production to provide every penny worth of admission. Tobias is 45. Not young. But you get the energy of a much younger artist. Band was firing on all cylinders and tight as hell. Funny, sweet, emotional, HEAVY show. Fucking awesome.
I'm going to my first "ritual" tonight. (I can't believe I just typed "ritual...." sigh)
Scored some good seats at 50% off on Seat Geek. Let's see if they are legit. But I can't pass up a bargain.
I'm actually excited because the production looks good and as I listen to Spotify's This is Ghost playlist, I am surprised how many good catchy songs they have.
That said, although the show outside Chicago looks nearly sold out, Ghost are a hit and miss not-quite-arena level band outside of major markets. For example, Omaha has the entire top deck closed off, and St louis, Minneapolis, Austin, Kansas City all look pretty soft in sales at this point. HOWEVER, it's quite a feat for Tobias to turn this band into a 10,000-15,000 seller in major markets and probably a 5,000-10,000 seller in other markets.
Doing well. Catchy songs. Fun gimmick. And solid production and musicianship. I'm a fan.
total pros. tobias know how to put on a good production -- sets, lighting, all with a slow build. Great musicians and sound (although sounded almost too good? wonder if some tracks are piped in....)

really, really solid.
Tobias is too respectful of the live experience to resort to that. He's a music junky himself.
He's just a perfectionist and gets A-level players.

Ghost gave away another 14000 tickets in Chicago
Only way people wear tour merch..must be free at gigs
Its over Ghost
They gave away closer to 13,000 -- I don't think the arena holds 14,000 in this set up. (It claims an 18,500 capacity for concerts, but that is in the round and seems questionable. It lacks a 300-level and seems significantly smaller than United Center)
But this was a legit strong sale: other than nosebleeds going on secondary resale sites for $33-$50, there were few sales to be had on secondary sale sites. I scored Section 104 (lower section, right next to the stage) 3/4 way up for about 50% of $207 full price, but that was a lucky grab. All the way up the near-show time those lower level, floor and pit re-sale tickets were all still at premium prices (which means demand was strong for this show). AND it was night Number 2 of Lollapalooza in Chicago.....
