Other than Smashing Pumkins and Coal Chamber who else did she manage ?

Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
She was managing the Quireboys through their first album cycle when they were out with L.A. Guns.
I remember the Quireboys being abuzz because she showed up in New York with new tits
She did well for them in England, where their album went top 10 and they had a bunch of top 40 singles had some good sales and opened a show for the Stones on that tour, but they just didn't hit in the U.S., probably because the Black Crowes hit first here doing basically the same thing but with a much better sounding album. (The Quireboys one was overproduced, especially for style of raw rock and roll. They were always a great band tho and would have eaten the Crowes up live)
It was weird when got over to England in '91 and there were articles in the tabloids about the Quireboys, especially Guy Bailey who was banging a page-3 girl or something. They NEVER had that kind of visibility in the U.S.

Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
Pretty much no one.
The Smashing Pumpkins thing lasted a second. And she issued a funny statement she was resigning from management for "medical reasons: Billy Corgan is making me sick"
Gotta give her that one.
In any event, wasn't it enough she kept the bumbling, drunken, incoherent Ozzy afloat -- beyond all odds -- for the better part of 40+ years?

She managed Slade briefly and they had some minor US hits but it was Jim Lea getting Hepatitus that pulled the plug on any comeback.

Lita Ford was successful?
Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
She successfully married up but I don't think Sharon arranged that.

Not sure I ever saw what he looked like til now. I was under the impression he was very financially successful but could be wrong. Stevie made it sound like his vocal videos were flying out the door. No idea how many units of the one album she actually shifted or if it even recouped.

You know your life is in the shitter when you see Chris Homeless as marrying up successfully.

Didn't she also manage motorhead during their 1916 period and also resigned from that since she considered them basically unmanageable?

Cool info. I didn’t know any of this. Loved that first record. I didn’t think it was overproduced though. I actually like it more than the Black Crowes but you can’t argue with the big hit singles they had.Sleek wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 1:42 pm She was managing the Quireboys through their first album cycle when they were out with L.A. Neither band made another good record though! The Quireboys had some good/great songs here and there but nothing came close to the first record.

IMO, Quireboys "This is Rock N' Roll" (2001), is there 2nd best after the debut. And/also "Amazing Disgrace" (2019), and the latest "Wardour Street" (2024) are also worth checking out.DonJuanDeMarco wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 5:30 amCool info. I didn’t know any of this. Their 2nd album "Bitter Sweet & Twisted" has some fantastic songs, but that's the album that's way overproduced/wrong production style for their sound.

I heard Chavelle was with her company for a period. They were at Ozzfest one year. Not their crowd.

I didn’t know Sharon managed anyone aside from Ozzy! This is interesting and would explain the Close My Eyes Forever duet. That Lita album was WAY better than her previous albums. Not to mention, Kiss Me Deadly and other songs had outside writers. Lita got a really big push on that album.
Cool information. I never even thought about any of this.

Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
When I was dating someone from the Motorhead camp I want to say around early 2002'sh we all went to The Viper Room to see a band Sharon was managing called Pure Rubbish. They were amazing, were like a teenage version of GNR and everyone left that night thinking these kids are the next big thing. Nothing really ever came of them and then one night I think I see 3 of the 5 as Kelly's backing band on some tv show and that's the last I saw of them.
On a sidenote we were all there pretty late and Sergei Fedorov of the Red Wings sat at our table until the wee hours which I found strange as they had a playoff game vs The Kings the next night and I said to him "don't you have a game tomorrow night?" and he looked at me, smiled and said "don't worry about it!" Flash forward to the game he played like SHIT!!

I remember their song "Loco", which is an alright early nu-metal song.TravisBicklesMohawk wrote: ↑Mon Aug 11, 2025 10:28 am No, never.

Re: Other than Lita, did Sharon O ever manage anyone with any success?
Her following album should have done well too but it tanked so badly she ended up firing Sharon. Lita thought Sharon dropped the ball on purpose because she suspected she'd had an affair with Ozzy. And the whole Stiletto album being about sex probably didn't help. Dangerous Curves just sucked and that was it for Lita.
