I still enjoy listening to the Mamas and the Papas and I think Phillips was a great songwriter, but he seems to have been a rotten human being.

That's what I thought, I can't really think of anyone in the hair band scene that comes close to those guys. Just being an asshole of a human being is still in a different league than planning to murder your wife or being a child molester.
