Add Klaus to the list of singers who have fallen apart.

Maybe just one bad night (or even just a bad song), but there's one I wouldnt have thought would be on the cringe list.

Ya, not good. He's held up for so long that I'll give him a pass and hope it's a bad night.

I watched a recent show and while he wasn't great, it wasn't embarrassing and I would have gone to see that

The man is pushing 80, it was going to happen sooner rather than later.

The faces of Klaus and Vince are the faces of dementia. It's like they just came to and are wondering why all these people are looking at them. The other part of their brain is on auto-pilot.

At least with Roth, his face is permanently making that crazy, happy face so he still looks lucid.

Klaus doesn’t even remember the grunge era anymore- he wins
It’s like 1991 in 2025 - you can still go see Scorpions and Trixter#weWon
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

He was acceptable for an 80 year old on August 16th but he does look and walk like Biden now.

Not as long as there are gullible fans who will pay up for a ticket.

It's their only income stream. Many of them have no choice. Which is weird at their age but I don't have any money saved up either so I ain't hating.

Don't think this applies to Scorpions though.

Yeah, Rudolph is known as a notoriously smart business guy. And although I don't have current access to their entire financial portfolio, I would be very surprised if the apparently level-headed, Germanic and teutonic nature of Klaus, Matthias and Rudolph had squandered the Scorpion millions and was out on the stage out of financial necessity.

It's ego -- and the easy money.
But it's an embarrassment.

But they did get a very heavy fine from the German government for Francis Bucholz hiding the scorpions money in Luxembourg. That's why they fired him...
Francis was quite the business man in the 70s and 80s. He also owned one of the leading sound and light companies in Germany at some point.
But that is so long ago, they must have made that money back multiple times by now.

I'm going to have to check their full financial records later today, but couple points:

1. They wisely kept most of their publishing (other than Herman) with BMG. Importantly, on Wind of Change, which is apparently the 14th biggest selling single of all-time (over 14 million sold). Their catalogue allegedly is over 100 million sold. I suspect the royalties on Wind of Change alone are enough to keep everyone afloat.

2. Klaus has been married for nearly 50 years. Rudolph was married for nearly 40 years. Means no multiple divorce dumptrucks of $.

3. As I said earlier, Rudolph's reputation is a focused, Germanic business man who runs a professional organization. Sure, they partied like kings in the 1980s, but other than Herman, apparently no rehabs and my perception is a well-run business -- not a bunch of guys burning money on ridiculous things.

But who knows? Many people with more money are flat broke . . . .

Yes, they were very business like. Bobby Rondinelli said that while he and Jimmy Bain were recording drums and bass for Love at first sting, Francis Bucholz was actually in the studio, but too busy organizing the American tour!
And then they flew to the US to play the US festival with Francis and Herman and left Bobby and Jimmy to keep recording for the album :D

Well siblings tend to want to differentiate.
Michael complains about Rudolph's singular focus on business and success. But that just tells me Rudolph has his shit together and managed his money well.
