The wife and I are heading to Buffalo in late October. Kind of an odd bucket list trip having always wanted to eat Buffalo wings in Buffalo. I'm looking for a couple of recommendations:
1. What are the must try wing places?
2. What are the fun areas of town or where should we stay?
Thanks in advance.

It's hard for me to get used to these changing times. I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.

I have passed through Buffalo many times during road trips. Seen a few shows there too. You talk of wings but I will say this: Buffalo is one of the most underrated pizza towns in North America. It's gotta be top 5 at least.
Check out Bocce Club Pizza, open since 1946: https://bocceclubpizza.com/ . The location on Bailey Ave is really good. Their wings are great as well. It's take out only with a picnic table outside. No seating inside. Not sure if their other locations are sit down restaurants.
Santora's is great too. Open since 1927: https://www.santoraspizza.com/

Anchor Bar invented the Buffalo Wing: https://anchorbar.com/ . If you're looking to eat at the place where it all began.

There is someone on this board that either lived in Western NY or spent a lot of time there, can't remember who it was though.

Go buy a car from Mattley while you’re there and catch a Bills game. That’s all I got.
