Who is the better guitarist?

Coverdale plays some alright blues licks. Nothing fancy but decent. Plant sounds rather rough.

I didn’t even know Coverdale played guitar. So that was interesting. Plant is one and a half steps above Saint Sanders level so I would give it to Coverdale.

Plant played better than I would expect for a guy who pinches the pick between his fingers like Corey Feldman.

I wouldn't say Plant is bad, but there's times where he looks completely uncomfortable in that clip, like he's looking down at the fret board to make sure he's playing the right notes, rather than just being able to play by feel.

Neither of them played well . . . at all.

Coverdale is better because he's smart enough not to attempt playing guitar public.

There's something to be said about being able to play well enough to write songs, but then hand it over to the professionals and let them do what they do.

Given that the clip was from the 89 SoTT Tahoe sessions before Vai came to the rescue, I'm not so sure that that's true.

It's absolutely idiotic to contend Zep weren't A-listers in the 1970s.

Both of them are OK. I'll go with Plant because he's playing in front of an audience.
