Thinn Lizzy - Still Dangerous https://youtu.be/Q2aJClfJbaA?si=WTgSyS3_WJzQ7mgS

Their famous "Live and Dangerous" was pretty much all overdubs - this came out a few years ago from the same era. 100% live. They sound exactly the same without all of Visconti's meticulous doctoring.

Yeah, the undoctored stuff sounds just as good. Maybe a flat note from Phil or a wrong guitar note here and there but who cares? Robertson/Gorham-era Lizzy were one of the greatest live bands of all-time.

Made in Japan was the first one that came to mind. Live perfection.

Live at Winterland and Band of Gypsys sound about as live as albums can be. They may have edited the length of some songs or some the banter in between, but I don't think anything was "cleaned up" or re-recorded. Hendrix admitted he wasn't in tune on some of BoG, but they were under a deadline to release it and whether he wanted it or not, there wasn't any time to fix mistakes.

Right, BoG was a rush job issued to get him out of a bad contract that he signed pre-Experience.
