The video has went viral on social media and has garnered 10 million views. The internet has fumed over woman's behaviour and has called her 'Karen'. Miami Marlins later presented the young with gifts and the Phillies player who hit the home gave him a signed ball.


Fans at Citizens Bank Park were shocked after a woman took a foul ball away from a young fan, sparking outrage online in the wake of another recent viral sports controversy. The video from a Major League Baseball game between the Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies has gone viral on social media, sparking a row. The video shows a woman taking away a home run ball that a man had just given to his young son, leaving fans furious and calling her a “Karen”.

What happened?
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Harrison Bader hit a home run to left field on Friday night. and as usual a bunch of fans scrambled for the baseball. A father got the ball and walked it over to his son. But then, a woman came over, angry at the fact that she didn't end up with the baseball. The woman followed them back to their seats and appeared to demand the ball, pointing to the area where it had dropped.

In the video, the father can be seen hugging his son before reluctantly taking the ball back from him and handing it to the woman, who then walked away. The father was stunned when he confronted the woman, who was seated the row behind where he had retrieved the ball, continued to argue with him.

“You took it from me. It was in my hand,” the woman claimed, according to fan-recorded footage. The two fans exchanged some words as both pointed to where the ball was picked up.

And after a few seconds of a verbal dispute, the father shockingly grabbed the ball from his son’s glove and handed it over to the woman, who furiously returned to her seat. The young fan, identified as Lincoln, was present with his family to celebrate his birthday.
