Marvelous 3 has released what seems to be their annual single. This time, a cover of the Modern English hit "I Melt With You." A servicable cover, but I'd have preferred a new original.

Yeah it's fine. I'm not sure why anybody would ever need to listen to it again. Granted they recorded it in a few hours because the AC/DC concert they were all going to was postponed due to rain, so it doesn't seem like it was that planned out. Still, kind of boring but whatever.

Bowling For Soup's has more energy and is a bit better but I think it's just hard to top the original.

Huge fan of the band, and have been on the annual reunion trail as well, but this sucks.

There's no reason ever to redo that song. It makes little sense to cover songs that have been played to death.

Maybe do Welcome to the Jungle, or You've Got Another Thing Coming, or maybe You Shook Me All Night Long? You know, the deep catalog stuff.
