Primus had three platinum records and one gold record, two of which were top ten, so they did pretty well.

I only heard one of their Stern interviews when 1985 came out. They came across well. Howard was always complimentary of them.

Besides that after being dropped by Atco, they got picked up by Arista (Clive Davis) so that was as good as it was gonna get. Oh..and they were on Letterman too!

All I can think is that MTV only played New Thing and Fly High Michelle. I never saw Mother's Eyes, Baby Loves You or Right By Your Side.

Also, as mentioned, they were more power pop than arena rock so if they came out later, they may have toured with bands like Gin Blossoms. But it wasn't meant to be.

I remember Mother’s Eyes and BLY being played briefly for one hot second in 1991. I don’t remember RBYS from Animals. Maybe saw it once.

Acto should’ve released For Now, Kiss The Clown and I Could Never Be Without You as follow up singles at MTV and radio.

Okay, that’s fair. They still weren’t Nirvana or the Chili Peppers. Far from it.

I should’ve said Living Colour

EVERY song on here is awesome. Zero filler.

The title track should've been MASSIVE. Unreal how great that song is.

I would've picked "Baby Loves You" as the lead single, followed by either "Strength" or "Goodbye" as the obligatory ballad second single. WITH NO SPARK FACTORIES IN THE VIDEOS. :x

Between that and the media power of Gerri Miller, this classic album would've sold HUNDREDS more copies.

I can’t disagree with any of this. Strength has an unreal depth chart. I didn’t mind watching the Jets and the Sharks battle outside the spark factory
