Lol never thought of it that way. Was thinking more 9 1\2 Weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if there's an alternate cover due to how young her fans are. Doubt an all black one though.

Re: Spinal Tap II - The End Continues review
Went in with modest expectations and enjoyed it, but it was weird to see it at a Sunday matinee at a relatively large theater on opening weekend and there was only one other person in theater besides my friend and I.
Listened to the new album/soundtrack and was disappointed with it. It was a big step down from the original soundtrack and Break Like the Wind, which might be why hardly any of the new tracks, other than the Elton and McCartney songs, made it into the movie.

I always thought the lead singer Christopher Guest was a dead ringer for Bruce Dickinson.

Way too long of time passed between the first and sequel. I love all the Guest movies, but I can't see this one being any good. The only good Sandler comedy is Billy Madison.

I wondered why "America" was on the Black Album, but not in the movie.FreddyFender wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 7:16 am my favorite scene in spinal tap was cut out: the blow-up fight in the studio https://youtu.be/7T7X0BcDRtw?si=yjtRDbSvogUTxakC&t=230![]()

I fear this is how i'll feel about it. Recycled old jokes, mixed in with celebs that are too big to be associated with them. I'll watch it when it gets to TV.Stinky McFister wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 6:50 am saw it last night
loved the original but this was a shit sandwich
wanted to walk out actually
but glad others seem to be enjoying it
Michael McKean is the lead singer. C'mon, man, you'd know this if you weren't under such heavy sedation!Tyketto Meniketti wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 9:01 am I always thought the lead singer Christopher Guest was a dead ringer for Bruce Dickinson.

I can't even laugh at that scene because having been the Derek Smalls "lukewarm water" character in a couple of bands myself, its so deadly fucking accurate as to how you have to try to mediate things between two "poncy hairdresser" personalities in your band sometimes. Great, great improv from the three of them there.FreddyFender wrote: ↑Tue Sep 16, 2025 7:16 am my favorite scene in spinal tap was cut out: the blow-up fight in the studio https://youtu.be/7T7X0BcDRtw?si=yjtRDbSvogUTxakC&t=230![]()

Agreed, it was impressive that they'd improve such an dark and angry thing, but I thnk the part they used: "You cant concentrate because of your fucking wife- shes not my wife - well whatever the fucks she is. you cant concentrate" worked better. Even if that meant the Derek mediator stuff was cutGibsonite wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 7:11 pmI can't even laugh at that scene because having been the Derek Smalls "lukewarm water" character in a couple of bands myself, its so deadly fucking accurate as to how you have to try to mediate things between two "poncy hairdresser" personalities in your band sometimes.
