Evidently you don't remember the 2009 season, just two years ago, when we started out 3-4. The talking heads and pundits were eager to pronounce us dead at that point, but of course we rattled off 9 straight wins to finish the season 12-4. Overcoming adversity is nothing new for us.

Having said that, today's news regarding Melvin Bullitt is devastating. Oh well, NEXT MAN UP!

That was 2008 dude. Can't you get anything right? The Colts had a great coach in 2008. That guy is long gone.

Whatever, my mistake, I said it was two years ago. I'm sure you got the message. Also, we have a great coach right now. His name is Jim Caldwell. He's been with this organization for a very long time, and has been taught well by coach Dungy. He's done a wonderful job since taking over as head coach.

He has yet to face any adversity. You are relying on the feats of people who are no longer there to get you through this year. That's a stretch. A huge one. I don't know how good a job Caldwell will do rallying his team. Neither do you.

As to "fail", it will never be a "fail". You welshed on a bet and everybody here watched you do it. Your guarantees are worthless because you don't back them up with anything. Nobody cares about your guarantees. They're as good as your word, you know, worthless.

You're ignorant, you know nothing about football, and that will once again be proven when your "predictions" fall flat on their face.
They are 2-2 right now, and I see them going 8-4 the rest of the way for 10-6. It's very plausible. It's not like they are 4-0 and I'm saying they go 6-6 the rest of the way to bust your chops.

Indy has beat the Pats recently because most of those games were in Indy and none of them were outdoors in cold weather. It does snow sometimes here in late November when it's not just freezing rain. Want to compare Brady's record in inclement weather versus Manning's? Manning isn't the same QB outdoors in the wind and cold that he is when he is playing inside. Guess what stadium Peyton was playing in when the world first got to see "Peyton Manning Face"?

You love to talk about how the weather was cold and there was some snow during those games. What about the fact that the Pats had a great defense back then and a clutch kicker. Today, not so much. The real question here is, how many Superbowls will Brady win without a truly great defense and a kicker who can nail game winning FGs on command? The answer? ZERO. Not to mention they don't have their little tape recordings anymore.

The Colts can win outdoors. See their victory in the 2006 divisional round in Baltimore.

I never "welshed" on any bet. I cancelled the bet before the event in question took place. There's a difference. But that's irrelevant to this discussion, much like the Texans have been an irrelevant team since their inception. We will continue our ongoing domination of your team in a few weeks. By the end of the season, I'm sure the Texans will be back in the basement of the AFC South, right where they belong.

As for Coach Caldwell, has has faced adversity. He faced a hostile fan base and dissension from players last year after he made the decision to pull Peyton Manning and forfeit the chance at an undefeated season. That was quite a task to keep the team together and playing hard toward one goal, when a lot of outside people were doubting him. He rallied the team and got us into the Superbowl. In one year he's already gotten a hell of a lot farther than Gary Kubiak has as a head coach.

Right now, if you're going to point the finger at coaching, you should be pointing it at D. Coordinator Larry Coyer. The defense has looked out of place, in-cohesive, and quite frankly, lost, at certain points in the season. This doesn't make much sense to me since the personnel is mostly the same as last year. I'm not calling for Coyer's head by any stretch, but I certainly hope he does a better job of getting our guys in the right positions to make plays. Of course, coaching isn't the whole story here. Some people just played poorly. It's unfortunate, but it's true. A lot of people have some soul searching to do, to figure out what they need to do personally to improve their performance on the field. Because that defensive performance, quite frankly, was unacceptable. I strongly believe it will get corrected, but it won't be easy.

That's because you will ALWAYS be a joke on here Greg... You're a punchline. A laughing stock.

Whether it's the Colts or football knowledge period, your wiggling out of a bet because you had no faith in your team to win the big game, your belief the Colts didn't "lose" the Super Bowl, rape victims being simple minded and weak, Bert and Poison inflated attendance figures or Motley's current "show" you will always be a joke.. You should be used to it.

I make poke some fun of Split on occasion, but I respect the fact that he knows more than your candy ass will ever know on the sport of football or anything else not Bert Miracles for that matter..

You're the joke, buddy. Your entire existence here is pathetic. You're a troll who aint funny. You try way too hard and fail miserably over and over and over. This thread is a good example of that, you're ripping off other people's old jokes, spewing corny one-liners that lack humor, and grasping at straws trying to find discrepancies in my posts. Your schtick got old a long time ago, yet you continue to stick around and make a complete fool of yourself. The Colts can win outdoors. See their victory in the 2006 divisional round in Baltimore.
AFC Championship - January 18, 2004. New England 24, Indy 14.
Yeah, that 10 point field goal Vinatieri kicked as time expired was huge...
Conditions: 31 degrees, light snow, wind 10 mph, wind chill 23
Manning's stat line:
23 for 47, 237 yds, 1 TD, 4 INTs

AFC Championship - January 16, 2005. New England 20, Indy 3.
Manning was generous that day. He decided to make Ty Law into a guaranteed hall-of-famer.
Conditions: 27 degrees, light snow, wind 17 mph, wind chill 14
Manning's stat line:
27 for 42 238 yds, 0 TD's, 1 Int,

That 2006 playoff game vs Baltimore - it was 54 degrees out. I said Manning isn't the same in bad weather, not that he can't win when he plays outside in decent conditions.

Manning doesn't play out doors in bad weather very often due to half his games being in a dome, 3 divisional road games being in warm climates, and scheduling that makes most of their cold weather foes face them either in the dome or early in the season where weather isn't a factor. But when he does face winter weather he is 4-10. Fuck, no wonder people get him confused with Bart Starr...

I wasn't attempting to make a comparison to Brady, but since you did:
Manning's playoff record: 9-9, 1-1 in Superbowl
Brady's playoff record: 14-4, 3-1 in Superbowl
Head-to-head: Brady 9, Manning 6

I am not the one predicting another SB for New England. I think they'll be lucky to win more than 1 playoff game this season with such a young defense. I see them as either a 3/4 seed or a wild card team that could steal a game because of their coach & QB combo and then getting beat in the divisional round unless Belichick is able to work some sort of miracle with that defense. But they will most certainly beat Indy in Foxboro in late November with Indy having their own defensive issues and Manning being ineffective if the weather is bad.

Colts- 15
Texans- 2

Nuff said. The lovable losers known as the Texans will continue to get abused by us in a few weeks.Yea, you snuck up on us and squeaked by the first time around, but this time we'll knock you back down to the gutter where you rightfully belong. We are the Colts, the class of the division, and the NFL for that matter. You are the Texans, embarrassment to the division and a team that always finds a way to lose. That will not change this year.

Typical Texans fan. You think your team is out of it's 8 year slump after FOUR GAMES?  You're up for a rude awakening, son. Over the course of the season, your Texans will return to being the laughing stock of the league that they've been since their inception. We will embarrass you on national television on monday night, and it'll be all down hill from there. As long as #18 is under center, and that should be for a very long time to come, we will be the class of the division, and the Texans will likely continue to be a joke of a franchise.

Aaaah, the delusional rants of poizond13. All you have to do is post some facts and he's guaranteed not to respond.

Hey pinhead, what about this:

Manning's playoff record: 9-9, 1-1 in Superbowl

Actually he's 18-0 in the playoffs.. The Colts just didn't score as many points in 9 of them..

The Colts are 2-0 in the Superbowl too..

Well how bout them motherfuckin apples? We didn't necessarily play a great game, but we got the job done and managed to beat the lone undefeated team in the league. Meanwhile, the Texans returned to form, by getting rocked by a mediocre Giants team at home. LOL!

As for those who said we were in a "hole" in the division, we are now tied for first place. How's that for a "hole?"  Just as I said before, over time, we will emerge as the class of this division, as we always do.
