It's the shittiest professional CONFERENCE I've ever seen. How is the AFC only a 3 point favorite in the SB as of today? Why am I not mortgaging my house on that bet?

I hate Lovie Smith. Only a dickhead throws a fucking challenge flag when it's 1st and goal from the 1. He needs to die of gonorrhea and burn in hell.
He's like the Liberace of bass & pot.

Oh, and what coach has his team take a knee with 30 seconds left in the first half with the ball on the 40 yard line and 2 timeouts available?
he claims he didn't want to risk McFatty calling his 2 tos he had left and getting the ball back. Uhhh, even then he wouldn't be able to get the ball bck, you BTK killer looking fucking moron.

Childress is a moron.
Well, you make a compelling if poorly spelled argument.

I'll amend my statement - the Vikings might not be done (especially in an age where 8-8 sometimes will back you into the playoffs), but Brett Farve is.
Sorry for my typos, but this season is far from over for the Vikes. i hope Bert's season is over though. he's an embarassment.

yeah, I'm not one to buy into AFC vs. NFC, but the NFC is horrid this year. Wow.

If the season ended today the AFC playoff teams would be the Patriots, Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Titans, and Chiefs. The NFC teams would be the Giants, Redskins, Bears, Falcons, Bucs, and Seahawks. I have trouble believing that any of those NFC teams would beat any of those AFC teams except maybe Giants vs Chiefs. Right now the top 6 or 7 AFC teams are superior to anything in the NFC. That could change as the season progresses, but right now that NFC looks bad.

Deanna Favre released a statement today. "The pictures that Brett sent out were intended for me. In no way did he mean to deliver them into the hands of Jenn Sterger or any one else but me, but you all know Brett – they were intercepted."

One thing about that game tonight. The announcers couldn't stop tongue bathing Favre's balls at the expense of covering the game. Just little things like not mentioning that they were measuring for a first down that appeared short and that the Vikings made it, not bothering to give down and distance, etc..

"Oh, that Bret Favre sure is tough." "Bret Favre has played a bunch of games" "Bret sure is a warior." "Bret Favre Bret Favre Bret Favre." "Oh, someone scored a touchdown." "How about that Bret Favre."

Fucking nauseating.

It's awesome that both Bert and the Cowboys are in the fucking gutter because it will eventually force the media to talk about all the other teams and players in the league.

I thought he'd be out of Sunday's game sooner, actually. A victory for Mr. Favre. He is a warrior. A true champion. Certainly the greatest quarterback you or I will ever see in our lifetimes.

And when have they ever made 292 starts in a row?

But by all means, tell them I say "hi" back. Tell Montana the wife and I will probably be in Tangier in late February if he feels like joining us. Thanks.

A longevity streak doesn't make someone the greatest player ever. Cal Ripken is not greater than Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, etc... Favre has cost his teams more big games than he has won for them, especially over the past 4 or 5 seasons. He has thrown a lot of TDs, but he has also thrown a lot of INTs too. I'm willing to bet he is the all time leader in Pick-6's.

I'll just focus on 3 modern QB's: Favre, Manning, and Brady.
Favre: 86.3 QB Rating, 1.5-1 TD to INT ratio, .640 winning %, 13-11 playoff record, 1-1 in SB
Manning: 95.5 QB Rating, 2-1 TD to INT ratio, .682 winning %, 8-8 playoff record, 1-1 in SB
Brady: 93.5 QB rating, 2.3-1 TD to INT ratio, .769 winning %, 14-4 playoff record, 3-1 in SB

Manning is on pace to pass Favre's consecutive game streak, Brady has 2 more rings than Favre ever will, both Manning & Brady have considerably higher QB ratings, and the TD to INT ratio's aren't even close. Favre was careless with the ball far too often in his career and cost his teams a lot of games, and the numbers reflect that. Is he one of the greats? Certainly. Is he the greatest? Not by a long shot.

Other than the Patriots winning and Favre getting smacked, the best thing I saw yesterday was Terry Bradshaw saying he's tired of talking about Favre and whether he'll play or not.

The Pats winning wasn't so great (because they're the fucking Pats, talk about two QBs going head to head where I'd love to see them BOTH lose), but otherwise, yeah, dead on. Bradshaw's statement was awesome. Did anybody else catch the shot of the dude dressed as Favre for Halloween at the WS game? The guy in the #4 jersey with the arm sling, walking boot and chin bandage?

You see the helmet-to-helmet called against Guyton? Favre was running and out of the pocket, Guyton went for Favre's number and Favre ducked causing them to hit helmets. I thought they said they weren't going to call incidental helmet contact on a defender going after a player carrying the ball? I hope Guyton doesn't get fined for that.

You're dilemma: Three weeks from now it's Patriots vs Colts. Who you rooting for?

Yep. Bad call. In the Steelers game I was surprised that Polamalu didn't get flagged for a blatantly late hit, but I guess it wasn't helmet to helmet...

 I like Manning more than I do Brady, but in that situation, I'm selfish. Brady is my fantasy team QB and my home team is in the Colt's division. As long as they're still in it, I'll be hoping Brady throws 6 touchdowns and Manning throws 5 INTs and loses by 30.

If Houston takes care of business next week and New England takes care of their's in 3 weeks you can pretty much figure the Texans will get the division (2 game lead plus all the tiebreakers with 6 games to go). Which would also mean that if Indy gets in they would most likely have to go play somewhere cold in January.

That's a very big if. I'm not counting on Houston holding up their end of that bargain. Their defense is in shambles. Hoping, yes, but my gut tells me tonight's game probably isn't going to go the way I'd like it to go.

I know the Texans had some injuries but is their defense that bad? With Manning not having two of his favorite targets and their offensive line having issues I would think Houston would have a field day going after Manning.

Worst secondary in the NFL right now dude. They lost their middle line backer and defensive team captain for the season as well, and Mario Williams and Pollard (safety) are both dinged. Unless Indy's corps of no name receivers drop a ton of passes, I think Manning's going to light them up like a Christmas tree. I'm guessing this one's a shootout. Bet the over.
