I don`t think medical professionals, at Montreal General, would make that up. He may have received a severe concussion, and may just be lucky that he isn`t suffering any, or many, symptoms of it. Everyone is different the experts say. The kid is still wearing one of those halos and I don`t see him coming back all that quick, no matter what anyone says.
I too am sick of it. Habs have drawn some inspiration from it - good for them. They`re a plucky bunch, playing how they are (all year), despite massive injury issues.
I`ll leave it at this: Dave Hodge, as respected a broadcaster as there is, used this analogy - if two drivers are driving side by side, and one forces the other off the road, and the one forced off hits a pole and is injured, what the NHL did is blame the pole and not the first driver. Chara drove Pacioretty off the road, the fact that ``the pole`` was there is bad luck, but it doesn`t negate what Chara did.
No matter what Gregy Campbell`s daddy`s buddy says, intentional or not, Chara hit a guy, without the puck, with enough force to drive him into the stantion and break one of his vertebra. That should be punished. Not to mention, more and more replays and closeups show Chara clutching the kid`s shirt and forcing him into the boards or stanchion just a wee bit harder than he had to. NOT a hockey play, and if it happens again, with a player who`s not a Norris trophy winner, it will be a suspendable play.
