Around $399 new. You could pop in minibuckers with the mounting ring.

$49 more, FUGLY headstock, plain dots instead of block inlays, no binding - you could always do the same with the Phoenix as far as custom mounting rings for the mini hums. But if you like the Eastwood, that's why they make different brands!

I REALLY wish Epiphone or somebody would come out with a cut-rate non-reverse...you're kinda stuck with Eastwood if you want one under a grand...

Yeah, that was my first thought. Very easy to put mini hums in there. The Phoenix is way better looking than that Eastwood.

Yeah I know that Eastwood, basswood body with doesn't kill the deal but they need an awful lot of setup work to make them players.

:? Those Blacktop Strats with Floyd Rose only come in black and Titanium and only rosewood fingerboards! I want the Sonic Blue with maple fingerboard! The thing is that it's $499 for either model, no upcharge for the Floyd but not in the color I want! I might get the sonic blue with maple board and put a Floyd on myself, but I know as soon as I do they will add that color scheme to the Floyded version! ARGHHHH!!!

Just ordered these:

2x Seymour Duncan Triple Shot (Black)

TOG A500K Push Pull Pot

EVH 500k Low Friction Pot ($1 cheaper on eBay)

Planning on wiring both Triple Shots in Parallel and have the Push/Pull Pot wired as a phase switch...

I'm using this diagram from Seymour Duncan website:
http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... s_2v_1t_ph

This should really open up a new world of sound options.. also replacing those crappy pots from the Yamaha AES 620 was really needed.

Why is it that the firm price at all guitar shops for a set of Grover rotomatics is 70 bucks (if not 80) and you can get a brand new set online for 38 with free shipping? How in the hell can they justify that kind of mark-up? I can understand a certain percentage but almost double the price? WTF?

Sounds exactly like Australian retailers.... Our dollar is about the same as the US, yet we still pay sometimes more than double the price you guys pay for the same stuff....

Main reason why I'm using Amazon so much... save loads of money.

They usually do 100% or more markup on anything under a certain cost point. That is an outmoded idea in today's economy but on some things they are slow to change. And they'll probably keep the same set for a couple of years until they figure that out. I recall putting Grovers on my Les Paul back in the dasy because they were the same performance (18:1 ratio) as Schallers but way cheaper. But they were about $35 back then, which is still more expensive than the $70 current price when you figure inflation (it was February 1978).

Just buy them online and bring them in to your guy to install them. They are awesome tuners and a pleasure to use! Your savings will pay for the installation!

Sorry, got sidetracked on that one... family members in hospital after going nuts at another patient and falling and breaking their arm... gotta love dementia. Also a house full of viral laryngitis. I'm gonna get onto that today. Not in the position to order one at the moment, but it would be great to find out what it will set me back...

Thanks for the reminder...

Does Brent do this kind of thing often? If so, let me know the next time the puts something like this out there. I may be up for something really interesting. Are these Brents designs?

If y'all are talking about that Floyde-routed LP body with the hockey stick headstock, it looks like a knockoff of the Schon guitars that Neal Schon had Jackson build for him.

Finally picked up a standard Tele bridgeplate and a Lace bridge'pup for the SVK.

Had to do a little bit of Dremel-work to fit the Tele pickup in the stock humbucker routing, but all done....got the whole Keef thing goping now, and the tones just WORK. Oddly enough, sustain and resonance are UP.....the new bridgeplate is a top-load, didn't redrill the new plate for the string-thru that the guitar is set up for. Think I'll keep it that way.

Anyone been to local guitar shows recently? Picked the plate up at the annual deal they have here in Indy....not much in the way of amplification, but a shitload of Les Pauls and jazzboxes. One of the local muckity-mucks from Sam Ash was there, trying to snag a '60 Strat for $10K.
