Ahhh, what a fight! Damn, Hendo nailed him with some bombs! Those 4th & 5th rounds when Rua came back were something as well. Seriously, I thought the first three were 10-9 Hendo, 4th round 10-9 Shogun, and last round 10-8 Shogun, resulting in a draw.
Same here. I didnt think rd. 5 was a 10-8 rd. for Shogun. Yeah, he was on top the entire round, full mount, but he wasnt doing any damage, Hendo was defending, and it was never close to being stopped. If thats the case, rd. 3 wouldve been a 10-8 for Hendo when he was trying to end the fight. Under normal conditions the ref would've stopped the fight, but the ref didnt. The sucky thing was I could never get a clean link. The entire night I was constantly bouncing from one link to another, too many lagging.
It was the first time in quite some time where I had to bounce from link to link. Usually I find a good one, and stay with it. I completely disagree. Some of the greatest fights were decisions. I'm good with knockouts, submissions, going the distance etc etc. I just want to see two fighters going at it regardless of how it ends. My problem is when a fight is only 3 rounds.
