Is there really that big of a difference in revenue income between the NFL clubs? I'm definitely against the scenario that Skydog put forward with Gates and Buffett at the helm, but what about spending what you earn and then the rest like tv money is split evenly?

The NFL does split up revenue, that's why they thrive. It's not what MLB does. The Yankees TV revenue alone is more than some teams entire annual revenue and they don't share it. There is a paltry luxury tax on big spending teams, but it's a drop in the bucket. The MLB system sucks.

In football they now split 90% of the revenues and keep the other 10% for themselves as opposed to baseball where the teams keep most of the money and the big market teams pay a small luxury tax that goes to the bottom teams.

Yet the OP was referencing an "alleged" rule change that took place in 2004, and you apparently have no problem with that.

If Pittsburgh wins and he doesn't further injure himself and they somehow end up with a 1st or 2nd seed so he gets a bye week it's a good move. But if he gets an additional injury playing against a team with nothing to lose and they still end up with the 5th seed this could end up costing them.

Do you think they should let him play, especially when Batch can give them enough to beat Cleveland?
