Some forms of karate are good enough for self defense, kyokushin for example, especially considering that the average guy on the street isn't an experienced grappler. Hasn't karate had already validation from Machida's success anyway? Which ones specifically? I haven't seen the whole event, but Rumble vs Vitor were good calls, he wasn't doing anything. A stand up when a fighter is stalling should be encouraged in my opinion. In fact bring back the yellow cards.
