Some forms of karate are good enough for self defense, kyokushin for example, especially considering that the average guy on the street isn't an experienced grappler. Hasn't karate had already validation from Machida's success anyway? Don't know about tae kwon do but i doubt it is completely useless.

Which ones specifically? I haven't seen the whole event, but Rumble vs Vitor were good calls, he wasn't doing anything. A stand up when a fighter is stalling should be encouraged in my opinion. In fact bring back the yellow cards.

I dont know about an amazing card. I love a good knockout or submission, but when every fight ends in the 1st round, it leaves a lot desired.

Dont forget the Sonnen/Munoz fight! Yeah, Diaz/Condit definitely gonna be a good one.

I don't usually rip the refs especially in a crazy atmosphere iike that arena Sat night but I thought both times in the Johnson/Belfort fight the ref stood them up too fast. I was rooting for Belfort but though if Johnson got in the dominant position at least give him a few more seconds to see if he can do something? I'm guessing that Johnson/Belfort are around the same strength so anytime they will be on the ground a stalemate is most likely but I think the guy on top should be rewarded a bit more time than was given Johnson in my opinion.

I get what you're saying, but fights are just unpredictable. I love seeing a back and forth fight between two evenly matched fighters, but I also love seeing a good knockout, too.

Munoz pulled out of the fight, is replaced by Bisping (via Dana White Twitter). I've been wanting this match ever since the Bisping/Rivera fight, Chael will knock that cocky British prick down a peg or two.

That sucks for Munoz. He now has to get to the back of the line, or middle of the pack.
This should be an interesting fight. After what Sonnen did to Stann, I do not see him losing to Bisping.

If he's not out for too long, He should fight Palhares for the next shot at the title when he gets back. Palhares took very little, if any damage in his fight.

He took absolutely no damage, ha!
I read Palhares was offered to fight Damian Mai(spelling), but turned it down.

Munoz vs Palhares? Good idea!

It's not that Karate and TKD in their pure form are useless, it's that the vast majority of their clubs and dojos are completely useless. Both have huge networks of clubs that are set up to make money like a pyramid scheme, offering very little in the way of actual self defense or fighting ability, and essentially just selling belts to boost people's egos. Machida and GSP to a lesser extent have shown how certain techniques can be used effectively, however both of those guys are excellent grapplers and are both BJJ black belts as well. I guess, being a BJJ and Muary Thai guy, I am overly biased against Karate and TKD. I actually have trained TKD when I was a child.

Impressive win for Miller.
He took a couple of heavy shots from Melvin.
I would like to see a Jim Miller vs Clay Guida fight.
Is Henderson going to beat Frankie?

Jim Miller is a badass, this is another fight i should've found someone to bet me on, I was saying that Miller would get the shit knocked out of him, but because of his tough chin and world class BJJ and Guillard's sub par sub defense he would tap him. If Davis RNCs Evans next week, that's 3 Blackzillian members in three weeks that tapped to a rnc.

Miller was saying he was sick when he fought Henderson.
If, & thats a big if, Henderson gets past Frankie, I would like
to see a rematch b/w Henderson & Miller.
I think Frankie is going to win that fight.

Pretty good fights last night...miller is one of those guys that flies under the radar but is one of the best light weights... He won 7? In a row before the bendo fight and was deserving of a title fight... But being that hes not a big draw, ufc is reluctant to give it to him. Was impressed with pat barrys sub defense... When tge first choke attempt happened like 30 seconds in, i got pissed. I like barry... He should be on like a 4-5 fight win streak, he should have beat crocop, struve, and kongo.

I kinda want Pettis and Bendo to either both win or both lose their next fight just so we can see the epic rematch.

Hacker Releases Dana White’s Personal Info as Retaliation for SOPA Support

By Larry Brown January 26, 2012

On Sunday, a hacker called Josh the God hacked the UFC’s website to protest Dana White’s support of SOPA — the congressional act aimed at stopping online piracy. On Tuesday, the hacker took matters a step further by releasing the UFC boss’ personal information.

In an interview posted on MMA Fighting Tuesday evening, White said “The Internet is a place where cowards live.” He challenged hackers to try messing with the website again, saying he wasn’t scared of the internet. Josh the God responded by releasing White’s information, including his phone number, address, and social security number.

The act got White’s attention, and he began sending tweets to the hacking group Anonymous.

“I love the Internet. It helped us grow our biz. Stealing is stealing! And hacking into people’s shit*** is terrorism. … same guys on the net bitching about fighter pay are the ones who are stealing from them. That are our partners on PPV! and yes cowards hide on the Internet! At least I’m man enough to say all my s*** in public and not hide behind a screen name!!”

Here’s the truth of the matter. As White says, the bill may have the right intentions, but it’s going about things in the wrong way. If White recognizes what’s wrong with the bill, and what about it has angered the public, he wouldn’t support it. He’s a smart man and I think he sees that. He should work on something that protects his copyright content in much less extreme terms, otherwise he’s going to receive extreme backlash.

Dana is either really ballsy or really stupid for trying to take on anonymous.

Actually, scratch that, he's just really stupid. Anon has fucked with much bigger companies than Zuffa, and they are impossible to track because anyone could be anonymous.

Yeah,
I saw that interview. His response was really stupid.
Saying now because of this, the politicians think these guys are terrorists.
I love DW, but sometimes he gets on his stupid toughguy
soapbox & ends up looking the fool. Stick to UFC brother, stick to UFC.

If Sonnen loses, then Bisping fights Silva in Brazil. That should last all of 60 seconds before Silva front kicks him back to Britain.

How in the blue fuck did the judges give that fight to Sonnen? Not just that, but one of them gave him all three rounds.

Oh yeah, because the UFC wants the Sonnen/Silva rematch, that's why. Bisping was robbed.

Sonnen won the fight. I agree the 30/27 was not legit. I would say it was 1 round a piece going into the 3rd, and with the take down in that round sealed the fight. Bisping didnt do enough to win the fight. I might think differently once I watch the fight again, but I doubt it.

Evans completely outclassed Phil Davis. Will he beat Bones Jones? Hmm, probably not, but it should be a good fight.
