Stick to talking about the refs, hoss. Leave real football to the big boys.

Doctors have already said he's safer now than he was before the injury. The neck is 100% healthy. He's not risking any more than any other player in the NFL. If that was not the case, he would not be out there. Also, coming back wasn't about money or proving anything. The guy has lived for football for his whole life. He knew he had a chance to play the game for a few more years at a high level, and then retire and move on, on his terms.dtmfs wrote:I happen to agree that He's the best QB of all time, but I also agree with Levi, I don't think He should've came back. He's playing great, Good, But We're talking about his fucking neck here and a long fucking neck at that, Dude has as much money as he does space on his forehead, He could still regret coming back big time, Should've called it a day, He had absolutley nothing to prove.
This coming from the guy who wished and predicted Peyton would never play again. The guy who practically celebrated his injury for 5 months straight.Crazy Levi wrote:I tip my hat to Manning. Very nice game. If he can stay healthy looks like he might make the Colts regret casting him aside for Boy Wonder.
Yeah and Reggie Lewis' Dream team of Doctors cleared him to play basketball again, and I'm sure Dan Marinos achilles magically became better than ever after the injury/surgery. Fuck is that some stupid shit. "Yes I've had multiple surgeries on my giraffe neck but somehow my doctors say it's better than it was 10 years ago. Hell why not get surgery done on his arm and knees, He can play for fucking ever. His Doctors sound like mad scientists, maybe they can do something for Alex Karras.poizond13 wrote:Doctors have already said he's safer now than he was before the injury. The neck is 100% healthy. Keep trolling, hoss. Colts made the right decision. Peyton Manning made the right decision to keep playing. Any real Colts fan truly wishes Peyton Manning all the success in the world and continues to root for him in Denver. What we're building here is special but winning a Super Bowl in year one was never part of the plan.
I never said his arm was better than ever. His arm still isn't as strong as it was prior to the injury. It may never be. But his neck is fully healed and better than it was before. That's just a fact. I don't know how else to say it. I'm pretty sure Peyton had enough input from doctors, family, etc to be able to make the decision without needing advice from fans who have zero knowledge on his particular situation, or any medical background at all.dtmfs wrote:Yeah and Reggie Lewis' Dream team of Doctors cleared him to play basketball again, and I'm sure Dan Marinos achilles magically became better than ever after the injury/surgery. Well shit modern medicine never ceases to amaze me, Fear not Ray Lewis just go see Peytons Frankenstein and He'll have you a set of 25 year old legs in no time, that's at least another 1000 tackles.poizond13 wrote: I never said his arm was better than ever. You did celebrate his injury. For MONTHS.Crazy Levi wrote:Huh?poizond13 wrote:This coming from the guy who wished and predicted Peyton would never play again. When did I "celebrate" his injury? That's your game, mr "hahahaha eat shit Texans fans," not me. I reveled in your misery in watching the Colts stumble through a disastrous season, but I never once "celebrated" his injury. I'd like you to prove me wrong.
I'm just praising a great night for a Hall of Fame QB. Good for him. I appreciate good football as much as the next guy. In fact, I'm bummed I didn't get to watch this game. Just found out what happened 10 minutes ago.
As a Colts fan I am shocked you are so happy to see him go. You have no loyalty?! No confidence?!
I'd take three or four years of Peyton Manning over a question mark draft pick. Luck could bust - you know that as well as anyone. But there's only one Peyton Manning.
I thought you knew that?
Ok, great. So please find some quotes where I "celebrate" his injury.poizond13 wrote:

I'll wait...either for a quote like the above that "exudes class," or for an apology.poizond13 wrote:HAHAHA EAT SHIT TEXANS FANS!!! Ali is a good example, as is Holyfield. Shit Dale Jr. tried not telling his team he had a concussion and raced anyway, not an athlete in the traditional sense but a recent example of a guy being selfish as fuck and putting others at risk.As far as the whole "he wouldn't be playing if it weren't safe" routine, that's absolutely ridiculous. Athletes have made a HISTORY of playing when they shouldn't have, for any number of reasons. Ali didn't just get the shit beat out of him by Larry Holmes because he needed the money - he thought he'd win. Jim McMahon didn't play forever because he thought he'd end up with early onset dementia, but here we are.
STFU, We're talking sports not that stupid ride You took on Bert.poizond13 wrote:I took it as hard, or harder, than anyone.
Doesn't matter what ANYONE outside of Peyton's situation says. Me, you, or anybody else, whether they're a doctor or not. They don't have insight as to Peyton's situation. Only his doctors do. I've never in my life seen a doctor diagnose someone without actually examining them for themselves. I can't even begin to understand why someone without even any medical background would want to do so. To say that Peyton shouldn't play again because he had a "serious" injury and surgery, which you happen to know exactly zero about, is just stupid and ignorant. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I trust Peyton's doctors, his family, and his advisers to help him make that decision. He's not the type to go out and recklessly risk his life over a football game.Crazy Levi wrote:

As usual, P13 chooses to believe the "experts" he wants to believe, just when he touts some idiocy by Peter King or Merill Hodge while ignoring what similar hacks who disagree with him say.
I saw PLENTY of people on tv and in print - former players, doctors, and one former player who IS a doctor - and many of them said Peyton playing ain't a great idea. What they said made sense to me, so I went along with that opinion.
P13 chooses to believe those who say he's stronger than ever and completely free of risk of further injury. Hey, good for him. But to cast aside a contrary opinion as trolling is the worst kind of trolling itself, which of course is nothing new to our favorite Poison groupie.

Like I said, I got no bone to pick with Peyton - he's been a great player, and now that he ain't a Colt it's much easier to root for him. I think it's hilarious that Greg thinks you are trolling when you disagree with him, and he thinks you are trolling when you DO agree with him.
Peyton had a great night - am I supposed to say he didn't?
What exactly do you want from us, P13?

Oh it's not dumber than someone actually believing a 36 year old neck with multiple surgeries is better than the neck pre injury. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
Even before the injury, his neck was having issues and the injury was only a matter of time. I didn't say his neck was better than it was 20 years ago. Even before the injury, his neck had deteriorated and the injury was inevitable. It was building up for probably 4-5 years. So yes, his neck is definitely better than it was pre-injury.dtmfs wrote:Oh it's not dumber than someone actually believing a 36 year old neck with multiple surgeries is better than the neck pre injury. It's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.
