Like I said earlier, I do like the moves that they have made so far and while no up and comer is a sure thing (see BJ Upton), this was a good way to fill an outfield hole with a player who has some pop. They say he won't start the year in the bigs but I bet by the 3rd week, he'll be at the trop.

The Sox will not be truly competitive for another 2-3 years until the kids on the farm are ready to make an impact. Then they can go and reload with a few free agents. The biggest problem is pitching. They traded the pitching prospects they had been developing, there aren't any more ready to step up, and the free agent market is really thin for pitchers now. That and there is now more teams competing for good free agent pitchers when they become available. I really wish they would have admitted this and saved their money for when they were ready to re-load again. Fuck the pink hats.
