IMO, Fantasy Football might be a good game for kids/young adults.

It's just not that important. I don't get pissed when my fantasy team loses. It's, "Eh, whatever." It's a completely different emotional response when my actual team loses.

I play fantasy FB and BB and I can say without a doubt I'm ECSTATIC that Machado doesn't play. Levi, I think you'd like it if you tried it. You don't have to root against your team (that's kind of ridiculous, honestly) and it gives you somewhat of an interest in games you normally wouldn't care about.

Same here. I draft. I tweak my roster every Sunday (occasionally on Thursday or Monday) and let ESPN do all of the work. I don't even check my Fantasy scores until after I've watched "my" Browns. It doesn't interfere at all. It keeps me interested in games I otherwise wouldn't care about and gives something fun to discuss at work in the morning or at lunch. There's a small cash payout at the end. That is all.

Much like listening to the best of the 80's for the thousandth time, Fantasy Football offers some excitement to otherwise what might be the same old shit. I appreciate that it makes meaningless games somewhat important and mildly interesting to watch.

A team doesn't have to win for a player to do well in fantasy football. RGIII still scored 20 points in FF despite the Redskins losing. The Lions won, but Calvin Johnson only got 3 points.

Suh was aiming for the chest of Simpson, he just started the tackle way to early and ended up hitting him low. I've watched the footage frame by frame. He was just trying to react to the situation and there was not even enough time to see how far behind Simpson was.

I think 3/4 of the regular posters in this thread play the Lions this year and a few play them twice every year, so of course everyone's going to want him suspended.

He has done some really stupid shit in the past and with this being a new rule the NFL wants to show they are serious so he got the fine. I can accept that. If the man shakes hands with Michael Vick after their game, the next days headline will read "Suh supports animal abuse"

I really believe he is trying to clean up his act. I also realize being a Lions fan that even when looking at things objectively, personal bias comes into play.

They've been replaying all of Suh's so called dirty plays and half of them I don't have a problem with. His leg flinging around into the balls of another player? Making a rough sack? The Sunday call I didn't see as a big fucking deal either.

Wow. The whole point of the new rule Suh was flagged for is pretty simple. If you aren't in front of the guy you are going to block, you don't go low. He wasn't in a position to make a legal block. All he had to do was push that guy's shoulder. He wasn't about to make a tackle anyway.

These players are way bigger and faster than "back in the day". If the rules stayed the way they were, there would be dead bodies out there. I'm not for pussifying the game any more than it already is, but let's be realistic.

So far in his young NFL career, Suh has been fined approx $300,000
He must be doing something wrong out there on the field to earn
that much in fines.

Jerry Jones accuses the Giants of faking injuries Sunday night. That has NEVER been in the Giants game plan.

So sick and tired of defenders faking injuries. That goes for college football and the NFL.

The giants players clearly was not injured and of course the dumb refs
could not recognize a legit injury from a bogus injury.

Any player that fakes an injury should be subject to ejection. Plain and simple. That will be the only deterrent the league needs to completely stop the

Hell, yesterday, I saw Jordy Nelson get hurt, the trainers ran out there, checked him out, and he stayed in the game and played. I thought you had to miss a play if the trainers came out to attend to you.

A couple years ago I think the Giants were playing Dallas and after 1 play, two Giants players went down "with injuries".
Does anybody remember that?
As soon as 1 player noticed someone else went down, that player immediately rose to his feet and no longer appeared injured.

The rules and ideas are simple, I'll just never agree with most of them. It's a rule now so tossing the flag is understandable I'm shaking my head at the fine and the big deal being made over it.

Suh was hustling, his big ass running full speed down the field trying to block anyone heading towards the ball is planted in his brain. If the play was over the other lineman wouldn't have been running down either. It's WHISTLE TO WHISTLE and Shu's dive was still in front towards the chest but his slow ass wasn't going to hit a moving target in the chest. "side, front, same to me if you catch thigh"

I picture that play happening in game time, running full speed, fatigued, adrenalin pumped and looking through a mask.....Not on slo-mo replay. In reality if Shu was a DB he'd have the speed to catch up and slow the blocker down with arms but Shu don't have the speed....And he's a stupid lineman who runs on all adrenalin.

Funny part: Watching Tony Dungy on ESPN saying Shu plays dirty and now teams will show tape and put an X on Shu too pay him back.....Ya that's not dirty either.
