Funny how mostly everybody thinks Trump will win because of the "advantage" in the electoral college. At the same time NOBODY thinks Trump will win the popular vote. Guess what: This "advantage" in the EC amounts to election rigging, yet you never hear democrats whining and crying about election rigging. It's only the side of the partisan aisle that actually benefits from unfair elections, that rattles loudest about it.

It's part and parcel of the broad gaslighting and disinformation scheme that the entire GOP have embraced in an effort to render elections, and by extension democracy itself, things of the past.

When was the last time republicans won the popular vote? Minority rule = tyranny.

I honestly have little to no concern, nor care for anything related... meaning Politics as a whole. Never head, and likely never will.

I firmly believe, that your vote is as worthless as a napkin from Dunkin' Donuts.

If we ask 100 people who they like on American Idol or anyone of these TV contestant shows (Big Brother, Survivor, etc..) that requires the viewer to vote, and we asked, "Do you think the poll is fair or rigged?", it's a safe bet, that a solid percentage don't truly believe their call in vote really matters.

In short, many think these shows or programs are all scripted and the outcome is decided long before we see episode 1.

The same people will also say; "I don't trust they're being honest" or find many reasons as to why clicking on your PC, mobile app, texting or calling in to vote, is simply getting lost in the ether, while the executives and big shots at these companies and corporations behind the scenes are making the final decisions.

Fair?

Same applies for the various Beauty Pageants, and everything from local contests, to sports and competitions on a National or International level.

If you don't trust some Producers and big wigs at some Entertainment company in NY or LA, why would you trust the Politicians from Washington D.C.?

It has been this way forever, and even more in today's world, where Side A think that Side B are crazy, unhinged, deplorable and the rest. But their side, their view, their opinion is researched, confirmed and the better choice. Of course, this also applies with Side B and their thoughts on Side A.

"I read a poll that says he is winning", the other side, "I saw a poll for the same state, but it's a trusted poll, and it says she is winning" and the tennis volley continues.

In reality, it's pretty much an even split, and usually with any of these polls / elections. It's like asking Google if Dark Chocolate or Red Wine, or eating a lot of Vegetables is good for you. One article says yes, the other says no.

With that, if you think 50% of the world is nuts, but your side is sane, then you are equally the nutcase and guilty of being stupid and ignorant.

Sadly it's not even about Policy or the Politics at this point, people either "like him and hate her", or "like her and hate him", it's about the person.

It doesn't matter what he or she say or do, the other side will dig up a reason to inform the masses they "lied", or "flip flopped" or point out why they're no good.

I have never voted, and never will... my 10 minutes is better spent power spraying my garbage cans so they don't smell.

I'm sorry, but not voting is plain dumb. People like yourself deserve to lose your democracy.

Anyone who shits on the electoral college knows nothing about why we have it. A simple popular vote is a terrible idea for a nation like America (or any other for that matter) and the founders knew exactly what they were doing. There is a VERY good reason this is a representative REPUBLIC and not a democracy. It used to be well understood before the great dumbing-down really began. Of course the country was also designed for a relatively homogenous, and like-minded people. That isn’t the case by any stretch any more.

And if you think your “vote” for one of the two candidates they offer you in this one party system is anything more than a joke at this point you are pretty ignorant of how it works.

There are no parties. It’s a “poll” not a vote anyway. We don’t vote for anyone. Even if we did, it wouldn’t matter at this point. They all play for the same team.

If the last four years (or 50+ for that matter) has taught us anything it is that it doesn’t even matter if we have a president. It makes zero difference which asshole gives a speech now and then. This country hasn’t been of, by, or for the people for a long, long time. The fake outrage between the parties is a tv show, folks. Jerry Springer for the masses.

Are elections “rigged”? Was the election “stolen”? News flash…they are ALL “rigged” and they don’t need to be “stolen” because they are fake anyway. That’s just more bullshit keep everyone fighting over morning. Coke ba Pepsi, McDonalds vs Burger King.”my” team vs “your” team. It’s all bullshit at this point.

If you care at all focus on who is running the show locally. You might see a difference in your life. The Fed Gov is a juggernaut and it ain’t stopping or even slowing down for your fake vote.

Who will win the election? Not us.

All of these are FACTS

1. Kamala had ZERO support in 2020 and was the first to drop out of the race because of it.
2. Biden chose her STRICTLY because she was a woman and the color of her skin (whatever it is this week) to be his VP.
3. She has pretty much been considered the worst VP in history the whole time she has been in office.
4. She now is going to "fix" things that 3 months ago, did not need "fixing" according to her and your fellow Dems.
5. NOT A SINGLE one of you democrats voted for her in ANY primary to be their nomination for this election this go around.

So, Trump may be a buffoon and a blow hard and whatever else you may call him. But at least we got the chance to vote for him to be the nomination, good or bad. I am not supporting someone who I did not or would not support 4 years ago like the liberal party.

Good luck.

2(a). Biden didn't chose her, the people telling Biden what to do chose her. They chose her because that way they got to keep all the money that had already been donated to Biden's campaign.

For my adult life the two party's have thought differently, yet respected one another for the most part, now one party (MAGA) acts differently, and that's when I saw things change in regards to personal attacks. Even on this board, and we've been here for how many elections? And I don't see MAGA as Rep. They're their own breed who's hijacked the Rep party.

Actually, I take the above back, as didn't you and Stoner get into back in the day in politics way before MAGA? :D :D :D

It isn’t archaic unless you don’t like the idea. Imagine a huge corporation where everyone down to the janitor gets an equal say about how the company should spend its money, promote its products, advertise, invest its profits, etc. most people can barely tie their shoes and have no idea what is good or bad for the entire country. The other reason for the EC is so less populated states get a say and not just a handful of high-population mega-cities getting to decide what everyone gets. That’s a shit system and concentrates the focus of the nation on a very narrow set of needs/wants. Even with the EC everyone doesn’t get an equal amount of votes. It is still based on population but without it some states would have ZERO say in anything ever. Different regions have entirely different needs and tend to have different levels of give and take overall. A straight popular vote would be the quick(er) end of this country. The EC is the only thing keeping millions people who suck off the resources of big daddy from having all the say.

Even through I think the system is nearly flawless if not for the absolute corruption throughout I don’t have a big problem with a true multi-party system like England for example where is its not a “winner take all” and the population is better represented by larger or smaller numbers of political representative and not just this fake 2-party bullshit we ended up with.

And what does the presidency being executive have to do with it? We have three branches and each has a role. Each also affects each other’s decision making. You act like the exec has nothing to do with policy or something. The system is designed with overlapping terms, EC and popular vote plus appointments. That’s the beauty of it. It’s is suppose to be self correcting and a balance of power.

Blah, blah, blah... it negatively affects overall voter participation and engagement by hinging the election outcome on 12 or so states, one of which I happen to be lucky/unlucky to live in. The candidates are on a non-stop merry-go-round from PA to WI to MI. It's ridiculous.

You friends in China, Russia, Iran, Norh Korea, Syria, etc want her to win too. A weak president and a weaker replacement only make them stronger.

Conservatives here seem to shit talk Kamala.
Liberals seem to shit talk Trump and the posters that support him.
Calling them stupid, evil etc…
Why is that?
Do liberals treat every facet of life this way?
If someone doesn’t think like them, or just in the political arena?
Genuinely curious.
Why is that? Hmm...
It's because they're stupid, Asspacho.

"They're eating people's pets! They're killing babies! Stolen election! Gazpacho police! Jewish space lasers! " They're wearing fucking diapers. How much stupid do we have to tolerate, Asspacho? Genuinely curious.
There’s my buddy!
Still didn’t answer the question
So it's not a rhetorical question? OK. No, I don't suffer fools gladly, Asspacho. You would know that if your head wasn't so far up your ass you could lick your own appendix.

Will there be more idiotic questions, Asspacho? Not genuinely curious.

People say that the "MAGA's" are the nasty people. Here is something I was witness to in about 2016 or so

I was at dinner with my then girlfriend and a group of people. We were eating outside in a courtyard at a restaurant and right across was a bar with live music. Anyway, a guy from the bar came over and said he hoped we were enjoying our dinner and that if we wanted to see some music, there is no cover charge and to come on over and have a good time. He was wearing a Make America Great hat and he was as nice and polite as he could be. Once he walked away, some of the people I was with were calling him every freaking name in the book and what a piece of shit he was etc. What they didn't know was I was conservative as well. He didn't care what party anyone supported, he was very nice, but he wearing that read hat. So automatically he was a piece of shit.

Freaking SAD that it's the way it is.
